Liana Brake Disks rusted

@awais: this is very normal I have a liana and rolla, rust appears on both after they are washed or if they are used in some wet enviroment and then parked.

As far as the quality issues are concerned who told u to buy a discounted Liana :)?? buy a liana now and there wont be any problem or if u had bought a liana before discount those cars were awesome

Brake discs are made of cast iron, that is why they rust so soon. But it does not affect the performance of brakes. Once you start driving, the rust is wiped away by the pads.

Suzuki all cars are useless. I remember when we bought CULTUS 2006.

1- car was not properly assembled. There are still gaps in doors and interior.

2- Suspension was not properly screwed.

There is long list of problems.

i have local liana since may 2007.....ODO meter is 13000km +....but there is no rust on disc....i think it is a problem of miss maintainaince and discounted price....

Brake discs are made up of duplex steel or similar material. cast iron ki hon to har 2000 km pe change kerani paray gi.

this is crevice plus stress assited corrosion. barishon ki waja say huwee hai. drive around theek ho jai gi.

tell ur uncle to keep em dry.

but no wait. liana ones look quite deeply corroded.

I have seen rust in my Uncles Acura RL and my cousin Accord
it is normal here in usa

They are not made of duplex steel. Some special applications use more exotic materials but generally all brake rotors are cast iron.

Not rust....it is rusty kinda coating on the brake discs after a rainfall or water splash on brakes...use emm for a km nd theyll b gone...cheers..

Hi All,

I just purchased Emminent Liana AT. The car is working perfectly, minor quality issues were there, but all cars have it at start. I think its a very nice ride. Specially Sony DVD player with Xplode speakers, alloys are very nice. WOW.

the brakes of honda city, civic both new and old, hilux and corolla are made up of duplex steel. i ve even seen them being made and dat too under one roof. use ur brain sir. why would dey use such a soft material for discs as cast iron.

i used to think that they are forged out of iron.

okay i followed the link.
most of them are made up of "J431 G3000" now which might be cast iron. but maybe they are not casted.
i was referring to hondas and civics brakes discs which are casted out of duplex steel.

rust on my civic VTI 2005's discs appear quite frequently cuz my car does not have much running and is only used on weekends and there is humidity and driver washes the car almost everyday, but when i drive, the rust goes away, no need to worry!
