well, if my 86 CNG corolla can hit 160, then these new machines shouldnt be having much problems.

My fat spectra do 165 at 4800 Rpms and its doable easily on CNG
On petrol.......... Just ask those Xli's and SE saloon who followed me from Lahore to Islamabad on my last trip
No dirty trick worked and even if they croseed taking advantage of traffic, it was a matter of minutes for me to take the lead and both thosec ars had jaws dropped when i stopped at bhera for CNG
I was on official trip so no worries for petrol or CNG
THis type of fun once in a while sure keeps u alive and kicking
The only car to took on was a lancer 1.6 and it literally tored both Corolla and spectra apart Excellent top end performance from a 1.6 i saw that day

we didnt got a ticket coz we had a Radar detector + at night time nobody checks.... do what u CAN do ???

on this tour we had 3 breaks + a 10 min exit at Balkasar on our way back + Hill climb ,,,and we made it in 3 hour 10 min from lahore to islamabad

i think i thinbk u have defeated my fastes time of 2 hours 54 minutes from Toll to Toll with a 10 minute break in between
Considering the weight in the car i think its excellent performance. Lambda will surely change the world for your car but u have to take care of that sudden surge in Rpm's which i think is because of air sneaking in from CNG setup somewhere. TPS is fine.

I made that guy feel so useless he started giving way. All corolla attitude was gone after three crosses i gave him at speeds exceeding 160. It was a sure surprise for him and that lancer guy simply put on the last nail in the coffin.
About drag and top speed at streight line, i admit that spectra is not a match but in a particular situation and with Indus tuned Stiff suspension. Driving it constant at speeds abiove 140 needs balls of steel and this is where i was defeating him time and again. We all know what corolls suspension is made up off and how confident it makes u feel. An occasional reach at 160-170 even 180 is fine but u cannot stay there but on a spectra u can do that easily and constant speed of 160-170 is not a joke to overtake unless u have a realy powerfull top end.

guy's i've done constant 130 km/h on my Pajero turbo diesel 2.4L 1986.. though engine makes alot of noise at that CONSTANT speed but i keep my sound sys full on lol to avoid engine noises (but never forgetting if this OLD jeep is begging for me to slow down cuz i would at the slightest of the indication from engine).. but Alhamdullillah it does 130-140 km/h easily.. and it has even touched 150km/h mark on numerous occasions on M2 and even on GT road isb-Lhr ... comment pls guys.. oh and i've done 180-190km/h on CNG Alto so yea i kindda agree with most of u saying 160km/h is not a big do for 1.3L or 1.0L petrol / cng? i've never taken snaps due to saftey reasons i.e. high speed drive + cam.. espc on Pajero cuz it can go out of control at any instance so yea u do need balls of bla bla bla to do constant 130+ km/h on this old beast !

oh and another thing.. not that its a huge thing or a big do.. but i've given tough time to alot of 1.3L's toyotas n civic's on 120Km/h constant speeds.. as in not letting them over take (without taking ANY risk) if both i and they r going constant on fair 120km/h .. i love making them "follow" me hehehe no offence.. and the only way they can overtake me is if they step on the gas and hit 140+km/h hahah which takes the fun out of the equation cuz obviously they r the better cars of the lot .. let me tell u guys u get a huge adralene rush through ur system wen ur driving a Pajero (unstable) at that high CONSTANT speed and over taking otehr cars and most of the corolla's (going at "normal" speed) hehehe.. its fun buddies.. and i love it!

My car doing 160 at exactly 4K RPMs. Did 180 at 4500 and 190 at 4750 RPMs.....Couldn't go beyond due to air drag...

me and my brother did toll plaza to toll plaza on M2 in 2:35 mins. Never stopped any where we were in baleno 1.3 kept the car constantly above 160 and touched 200 3 or 4 times. But when we reached isb the fuel guage was at E

yar I dont under stand how ur cars can cross 160 with cng ?? Cng does not has much energy to make a car cross 140 I have ested it in liana baleno and xli.

anyways after driving liana with full throttle pumped in, I ame to a conclusion that baleno has better pick up and top speed but tarts flying after 160 whereas liana was pretty much stable.

@spectra: i think kia spectra's engine'd be having wrinkles on her forehead and across her face. its surely aging after every such race if u maintain that pace.

actualy its a performance oriented DOHC unit with good top end capability. also it has factory claimed top speed of 180 which it acheives at 5200 rpm. no worries or signs of wrinkles. engine was never a weak spot on spectra.
