A quick question for fellow Liana owners!

Does the RXi (1.3 Liana M13) come with a catalytic converter? I feel that mine is clogged. I know the Eminent comes with one but not sure about the RXi or LXi.

How do you know its clogged and its in the cylinder pipe as far as i remember, i have posted its picture too some where in the post.

Seems like the Aerio with the J20 has 2 Cats. Liana with the M13 has one downstream. Here's a snap from the workshop manual:

My car has done 120K Kms Mashallah and the throttle response and the sound is unmistakably clogged Cat. The valves are fine and so are the rest of the things in the intake. Time to remove some restriction from the exhaust

3- One of the sensors in the throttle body

Valve clearance was checked no issues with that, at free inspection suzuki engineers told me that cat is blocked get it replaced. whats the life of cat filter btw ??

I disagree with options 1 & 2. Val a clearance issues shows up generally on a cold startup.
Clogged cat should result in suffocated throttle response.
It can be a sensor or coils issue.

The cat life is dependent on fuel type used. On cng it lasts much more then that of gasoline.

Well the issue is more in cold start and after 3-4km car become smooth. Coil is fine get them checked too.

That's more like valve clearance issue then.

Yes sounds like valve clearance issue. Get it checked from a goo dealership. Some dealers just shy away from it because it \s a time consuming job.

Generator belt broken twice in a week what could be the issue ???

Check generator bearing if it is jam or something.

AoA, brothers i am having a Liana Vurv 09 model ... Everything is going smooth less one issue that its CNG swith shows four dots when it is full and after consumption it suddenly goes to zero ( feul average is not an issue ) ... I mean to say that it doesnt systemamtically showing 4 , then three and one dot respectively .. Any help in this regard?

Depends on which quality of belt you are using and it might be too tight or too loose. To loose and it will heat up, too tight and the torque will tear it apart.

Check (and replace if required) the sensor which reports gas quantity. It is located in the analog pressure gauge

Depends on which quality of belt you are using and it might be too tight or too loose. To loose and it will heat up, too tight and the torque will tear it apart.

I think the issue is with the belt as that cost me just 350rs will buy a quality belt now.

I invested in genuine belts from 3S at 80K Kms to have piece of mind but I am sure good quality belts must be available in the market as well.

My car has done 71k so i think the life of belt is completed, have to take it to the nearest workshop as it can't go far with out working generator and other things which rely on it
