Guys need your help with my friends car. He owns liana 2010 automatic which is 1500cc.

The problem: his gear lever does not contain shift lock I. E. He can change p to D or to R or to 2 when car is switched off. Usually in automatic you cannot move from P unless you press shift lock button.
Problem:
His key ain't locking when gear lever is not in P. That is he can switch off car in D and take out keys which is not possible in automatic.

Can you guys please help me out on what is wrong with his car? And where is this shift lock button located?

it looks like some has force the transmission to go in such gear which are not possible in some situation and broked the lock of the car take it to any good mechanic this type of thing can be only judged my physical inspection

bro go to sharshah and buy a now compelte console roughly it will cost some way 7-8k becoz repairing will be not a good Idea

@skill, I got my LIANA checked up by Azim Motors and the guy who was scanning (DTS) couldn't even write his name, so how could I rely on his expertise about the readings shown... so I got them pictured and sharing with you and all, so that if someone is good in it, pls check the readings and let me know if there needs to be adjustments or changes.

Haven't cleaned them. I think they are sealed pack cleaning will not do any improvement.

Oil leakage problem solved and the Axel seal that was leaking and I have changed my Axel boot, and used this one
