Liana ignition switch & an awful day.
My car's ignition key switch was making problem from Many days ..
Sometime the key don't move any further after unlocking the steering wheel but after a few taps and jerks you're good to go.
Yesterday i left home for oil change and my bad I turned off the ignition at oul change shop while knowing that how hard it is to make it work.
As expected after oil change i was unable to turn the key to ON eve after hundreds of taps and loads of wd40. After wasting an hour i left my car there and started searching "chabi wala" my luck i found one nearby and on his "cd70" i came back at my car. That guy opened the ignition switch completely and after removing the ignition key system started the car with help of car key (bcz immobilizer) and a screw driver , he told me that i have to go to my shop and u better join me there , so we left along with my car. At his shop , actually a "thela" on G.T road , he started the operation ,after almost 1:30 hours he removed some kind of locks (i guess 3 ) with help of a nail/hammer , after opening the switch he took my car key and switch to somewhere and came back in 30mins approx , he told me that some locks/pins are broken that moves when we roll the keys bla bla I don't know.
He installed the system and it worked alhamdulillah but key wasn't smooth , According to him it'll get smooth with time.
Whole operation took almost 4-5 hrs and to my surpurise he asked for "1700" rupees (700 locks 1000 labour) but we settled for 1200 because i knew that both the figures are wrong specially the labour.
Now the key remains intact unless you turned the ignition off (like a normal lock) previously i can easily remove the key even if the car is RUNNING LOL
