Anyone know where I can get a replacement fuel tank for a 1.3 liana? Can't seem to find one from anywhere and mines rusted out and keeps leaking fuel

I have a budget of 1 million pkr and I'm thinking to buy one of the following cars and would love to hear your thoughts, please note that I don't have a lot of experience in buying used cars.

I have a 2002 cultus right now which I plan to sell and get a new Alsvin financed.

For the time being I want to buy a car for my dad would be great if I can get an automatic Civic but I would really appreciate your help!

1 - Suzuki Liana LXI or RXI.
2 - Honda Civic 1998 - 2000 model.
3 - Suzuki Baleno 1999 - 2006

Can you please tell me if these are reliable cars and which one would you suggest?

Suzuki liana lxi is preferred over these options.
It's reliable but you have to get it fully inspected so that you are not found with mechanics daily.

Rest once it's working good it will be a good car with
Good fuel economy and durability.

Civic in this price will be a khatara car and you would have to spend alot on it. It has very expensive parts compared to Suzuki. However if you go in 1.3 million budget you can find good civic.
Like wise good liana 2009 or above can be found in 1mil plus budget.

Where can I get New(ish) headlights for Liana in Karachi? I have to get then buffed every now and then but they're getting really yellowed and dim and even getting them buffed doesn't seem to make any noticeable different now. I would prefer to buy them hand-to-hand in Karachi, but if that's not a possibility, is Pakwheels store trusted? Can I get then shipped from there?

If tou want new, get "Depo" headlights

Next time instead of buffing them, have painter clear coat them with 2K clear after buffing and removing haze.

The clear coat is missing thats why your lights are yellowing badly.

I have seen videos of people who ceramic coat their headlights after buffing. As per them, it helps preserve the top layer.

Ceramic coating is not quite as heavy duty as the 2K clear though. But nonetheless something needs to be applied as the lens itself is sensitive to UV damage without any protection. (The yellowing)

I think ceramic is easier to do DIY rather than the clear coating as it requires a painter or at least painting tools.

The factory coating is actually a UV cured job which is quite difficult to do properly but places who do glassworks can help with that.

Where Can I get the complete wire that is coming to the ignition coil? Previous owner had installed side coils, now that I have installed OEM Kabuli ones desi electricians have made joins using insulation tape which I believe wont last any longer.
Also, from where do coil's wire is origination from into the coils? Can I change it by myself?

Buy some cut up genuine wiring pieces, heatshrink and use that for insulating the joints, also buy some plastic wrapping tape from an auto electric store (its like electric tape without glue), use that to wrap the wires and tie the ends of the tape into a knot so it doesnt unwrap (this is how the factory did it too)

do not solder the wires as that area has a lot of vibration and will cause the joints to crack and break apart.

The actual approved repair is a cold crimp, basically an open barrel cup big enough to cover two wires, then an F crimper is used to press it closed and finally heat shrink insulated.

But a western union splice covered with heatshrink will work too as long as the wiring loom is supported and not hanging dangling about.

This is factory approved repair splice of any production passenger car.

This wire is very thin, its the compressor clutch magnet coil wire of a car i was repairing.

Notice how tiny that little silver thing is, but its incredibly strong once its clamped down with its correct tool.

they were available in plaza market in karachi, the only issue with DIY folks would be the cost of the crimper tool, it was a bit pricey.

however a good electrician should own one. The other shortcut way is a western union splice but its not as strong as a cold crimp like this.

This is a square head crimp for receptacle ferrules, you will need an F crimper/open barrel crimper

Btw, i used a gold plated crimp ferrule, its approved for use in SRS too, so I keep those stocked as its not much more in price and prevents corrossion while having excellent conductivity, final sealing with glue lined heatshrink
