The evaporator is so dirty. I doubt mine is in the same condition. How much did they charge for the complete service?

The washing process

I specifically asked for the fins to be straightened after the cleaning.

The evaporator O-rings were replaced with new ones.

The system beingsucked clean of any air first with a fridge compressor...

... and then with the correct compressor.

The R134A compressor oil.

Alhamdolillah! the performance of the A/C is revived to the level at which it was as new

The A/C gas or refrigerant cost me Rs 2300

Total bill including compressor oil and O-rings was Rs 4500

Is it possible to get the evaporator cleaned without dismantling it or wastage of gas. I get to know that Punjab car ac is doing steam wash in pkr 700. Confirmation required

Hi every body, I have couple of questions regarding Liana engine
Conditions:
1. 2006 RXI M/T FF CNG, roughly 140k km driven
2. Engine produces noise(Hunnn....) around 120km/h speed, as if it is really working hard, around 80 to 100km/h it has normal sound.
3. Engine also reduces Oil both in local and long routes but with no smoke(at least on startup, never noticed in running). Also no oil traces in cooling system.
Questions:
1. Do you think engine is weak and needs overhauling ?
2. How much it will cost to overhaul the engine ?

Posting it here as it is a Liana specific forum, any expert's opinion will be highly appreciated.

do u observe smoke on cold starts i mean in the morning??? also on cng the smoke is not much visible. I'd recommend to get a compression test of your engine that will reveal the truth about engine being weak or anything....

Aoa All Pak Wheelers,
I have a question to ask abt my liana RXI 2006 which is having A lot of missing problem in the ist or 2nd gears.Plz suggest me the best 3S dealership or any other specialist liana mechanic in Lahore for this job.

If we suppose that on cng the missing is 100% then on petrol it is around 25% compared to cng.

Hi guys, just to update you.
My cars one injector (4th inline) is not working properly Though I mostly run on CNG, so not fixing over immediate basis, but have to fix it.
What do you suggest? Replace with the new ones or Used ones? I think the used ones are good enough to serve the purpose also.
I will also see first if LM Injector Cleaner can help healing the dead one anyhow first...

Apart of that, also going for:
-- Plug change, with Denso Iridium IK20
-- Handbrake Cable set change
-- All Brake Pads Change
-- LM MOS2 Gear Oil Additive

I am not sure if Punjab A/C does it but yes A/C shops do that. It is called "side service" in local lingo. They will wash the evaporator by removing the blower assembly.

Brother get compression test done at a good Suzuki dealership which will tell you if the rings or pistons are weak. Also get the "tikkiaan" ground from a dealership to adjust the gaps (Liana doesn't have tappets).

the humming sound could be a bearing. Get all bearings including the mains checked.

Their further comments were: All cars reduce engine oil on motorway (personally I do not agree). Also said that in near future clutch plate needs to be replaced which will cost you 24k but at the moment its fine.
Guys what do you think of the stories above ? question still is can these issues cause reduction in engine oil?

Hello All
anybody has the idea abt the performance of Chinese coils for liana as these costs 4500 for a pair while Japanese ( as told by shopkeeper) costs 8500 a pair while Suzuki genuine coils from dealership r around 21000 rs.my liana has limited usage as got another car.so is it a good decision to go for chinese coils ?

This issue has been discussed earlier many times on pakwheels.
Before going yourself to a final verdict,assess, is it a leak which is reducing oil or your car is burning it.
well if your car is leaking oil,it might have evidences some where like tappet cover gasket leak,main oil seal leak,oil pan gasket leak or oil filter o-ring leak.over filling is one of the culprits in such a situation.
And if your car is burning oil,it might be because of several reasons.
your car's engine engine runs very hot, hotter than the burning temperature for motor oil.
engines rings comes into play reducing oil if they are worn out.
Valve stem seals if bad will burn oil with symptoms of blueish emission at start up.
So you have to know first,what is happening actually.
