I don't seem to understand why people expect more from a car that they are only paying 7 lakhs for. I have no personal experience with the car, but how bad could it be? From what it seems, it appears to be a great buy. Is it because all of you are so self-conscious that you cant bear watching yourself ride in a car that has the infamous 'S' badge on it? I hear nothing but derogatory talk about Pak Suzuki. Lets have a small comparision here with another country that has right hand drive cars, and high enough taxes & insurance, etc. to be compared with Pakistan's import taxes - the United Kingdom. For those of you who are looking to buy 'new' cars here, and I'm assuming we're sticking to the Liana's zero meter price - you can NOT get a better buy anywhere in england for 7 grand (GBP), brand new. Trust me. So that's your comparision.
As for the rest, I think this whole second hand car import phase - atleast the one where you're importing crap reconditioned and used cars - will soon go away. Where there's a boom, there's a bust. I strongly agree with those who say that the Liana shouldn't be degraded for no reason. If you're a person who can afford better cars or have your eyes set on top marques, then why bother replying to this topic anyway?
