and LOL about wellington school, i had visited it many times had friends there but couldnt afford it.
Our family was there since 40 plus years, we saw dubai turn into what it is now, it is not easy to live like we live here, we faced financial problems at the end because It was OUR mistakes, it was our typical pakistani culture we tried to implement there (not my family but the grand family of ours), WE TOOK THINGS LIGHTLY and we faced the circumstances, 40 years ago we were the ONLY supplier of raw food and dry fruits in Dubai, If we had maintained that monopoly , today we would have been somewhere else , Dubai is a heaven for me specially when you compare it with Pakistan
1. You find more islamic people in UAE, compared to Pak yes dirty things also happen there
2. People dont lie for 300 pkr
3. People are generous and friendly
4. Arabs are not rude, majority of them are kind

Dubai has way more opportunities, you cant rely on one job, even if you are earning enough you should still strive for more ( which our paki culture lacks...everyday is sunday for them)

Dubai has also funded a lot of underground groups to cause instability in pk region, so that everyone goes to DXB instead of karachi, but then again it was our people who sold themselves to a few thousand dollars.

earn in uae keep family in pakistan. simple as that. even if you drive a taxi there your family can live comfortably here but in pakistan you will get paid 10k rs per month.

in 65 years, which other country with same financials dents have become a nuclear power able to launch internet with under 15% literacy rate, credit cards, cars on lease to people with zero credit rating, a cell phone service to over 70% population?? while spending less on basics of life ... basic education, basic health, drinking water, ?? we lack basics of survival a Rs. 66000 cell phone is a HOT item in market

You are correct that whatever people do elsewhere is also possible in Pakistan. The difference lies in the numbers of people who can do so, that is, whether most can enjoy similar basics and luxuries, or are they restricted to a select few.

Of course, the internet has lots of desperate women well past their "Best By ..." date hoping to find themselves a sugar daddy, or may be find someone suitable for younger ones.

In Pk things have changed a lot too, Taxi fare of Dxb now seems cheaper, here a broken taxi cab charges roughly 800-900 to and from Airport from Isb.

Children fee 5-7 years is more than AED 500/-
Add another 300AED for transport+another 300 of your own fuel cost on days like Strikes, Religious Strikes and CNG strikes
Fee for Mid school level at a non-gov school is almost 1000AED
Electricity bill for a small home is almost 800AED, 1000AED+ in summers
Gas, we have none, buy LPG for AED5 per kg/Day

Tax office is always at your tail(if u give tax) if yu dont then no problem

I see you live in Canada, but trust me bro, things are different in Middle east, they are harsh and cruel people. One of my uncle was a car mechanic/supervisor of a benz dealership in kuwait before the kuwait-iraq war. He was basically printing money, thats how munch he was making back than. The war started and everyone left kuwait, he stayed behind because he wanted to open his own car dealership. Fast forward to 2014 and he is still working at the dealership with the same pay. These arabs neither gave him a promotion nor a decent wage. He is still working on the same wage as 1988. These guys dont care about human life or human rights. The whole Dubai was built on a blood n sweat of Pakistanis and they got nothing in return. Imagine, you work in construction in US or Canada, do you know how much money you can make? You can build your own empire in Pakistan just from working in construction here in Canada. This is the difference between arab countries and north american countries.

You are right..!! I am a software developer, they recognized my degree from Pakistan,(even I didn't had degree at that time, it was in Pakistan). they recognized all my experiences I mentioned of Pakistan ,and gave me the wage and package of a 2 yr experienced developer, but it was my 3rd month in Canada..!! and first job in Canada..!! Alhumdullillah..!!
