Lightmare: Are you using HID's in your headlights? Please don't do it

High beam will always obstruct the on-coming traffic, may it be HID or Halogen bulb.. I have seen many stupid drivers toasting my eyeballs with Halogen bulbs on high beam..

Similar happend with me yesterday and car with 2 pairs of Hids was behind me from Karal chowk to zero point and it making me like stop his car and bear him well

Btw I also use Hids but only in fog lights believe me they don't hurt any one

Bro you are comparing hand with leg. A person driving slow in first fast track he is not following the rules, a driver asking for space he is not giving that also wrong if some one ALLAH na karey in emergency asking for space and they all show no response to it Is that right..?

Ch. sahab is only willing to use high intensity discharging bulbs only in high beam and he also mentioned he use normal light in traffic areas. So whats wrong if he want to use high light in dark areas.

And using ak47 killing a person is absolutely a crime.

Let me explain it..
I installed hid in starting days i am using it in traffic area but when ever i got any signal from other driver to low down my light i do it before they signal their expression no crime. But your example about taking ak-47 with ourself and aiming the drivers is all the crimes and crimes. First while driving u r not allowed to use any thing which divert your concentration of the road is crime. Putting your self a ak-47 during city drive is crime. Killing any one is crime. And only for just a small reason that he is using hid and u r jealous of. this is the main problem of paki they never thought about the main source but will try to overcome the problems effects. I mean he will never kill the gun shopkeeper for selling it but will kill the gun user. Same applies with u here. U r not asking mod to stop promoting such useless things but just pulling leg of ch. sahab by telling him different examples.

Btw pls tell the ak-47 owner i hav installed bazooka at back of my car so be carefull

i guess read the above quoted post,if u think using hid even for that purpose is wrong then i cant do anything but i cant drive rash like others do to over take such persons like from third most lane of bikes or zig zag etc putting myself in danger for them n as well as others nor i can drive slow like a donkey behind them which most of the time i have to :mad:
come,live in pakistan, n u'll know that not only people use high beam 90% of them and the remaining ones use high watt bulbs in low beam which are equal to high beam as well n enough to blind u,so y the hell should i get blinded by them and not get back at them,y shud i drive blindly?
just because i use low beam for single road so such people get away without me making them blind as well but still u cant b happy :S :S :S
also i asked the guy installing them to make the focus on road,instead of the sky
well i have to see something for myself as well
some people drive right next to bumper of such slow drivers in fast lane but again thats very dangerous if next person applies brake suddenly
now in the end,if some1 drives slow in fast lane n then complains about hid glare in their eyes,i cant do anything for them,live wid it

i agree with your case, people here even on tiny roads use HID their aim is not for better vision, their aim is to blind others, i drive a lower car, extra lowed then stock car, so such beams totally blind me on roads, even on oneway traffic, all i do is open the window rise middle finger in front of them so their so call HID can clearly show them, and pass away

if u get so much blind,how do u know if u r pointing at correct car :-#

correct me if im wrong but if you get the headlamps smoked in matte black it doesn't reflect as much as it would normally i kinda tried it on one of my spare headlamps the glass was broken but the reflector was fine i put the bulb into it to see how bright it would be then i smoked it with matte black paint*spray can* and well it was less reflective other than that are projectors which helps as the light doesnt shatter everywhere it only goes to where its pointed/adjusted to go.

Great message to all the uneducated drivers using HIDs on high beams. Almost 80% Pak drivers use it on high beams and no one cares. HIDs are best in fogs or on low beams. Never installed them on high beams, that is just offensive.

I missed this thread as well.
Me also dont like HID at all, my way of avoiding it a desi one, since my car doesnt have 'day night mirror' feature, so I use a tissue paper placed above my rear view mirror (in folded form), whenever there is someone moving behind with high beam (halogen or HID) and not flashing for overtake I just pull that tissue down to cover the mirror, and then when I feel that vehicle behind me has moved away I put tissue back in upper position.
It saves me from getting blind.

i was in islamabad and herd by many guys that driving with HIDS is banned now im on low yellow beams
there comes a burger shezada in a merc he got hids every where head lamps and fogs too
now normaly i won't mind but he did was on purpose i think KPK ki no plate nahi dekhi us ne
now i allowed him to go but he just sticks on back bumper of my vxr
so eventually he did passed me then my turn as he was using 35w hids i got 55W
so hids on and did same thing to merc wala burger shezada stuck nearly 10kms behind him
taste of his own medicine....

Some one in ITP or related to ITP should please enlighten this issue as nowadays ITP is very much vigilant but still they are not showing any concern on this issue.
