Not everyone gets a reply with very precise info from someone who has worked himself ( @capsat ) in a very specialized industry just 30 mins after posting a thread. And you got that. How much more do you want? How about making a little effort on your own as well?

Now what capsat has told here, that's from 2007 and the industry has grown a lot since then, so there may or may not be a couple of more such plants out there. So maybe start calling them ?

Did you contacted Haji Sadar Ali Akhtar Ali Tannery at Halloky Road Lahore. I worked in universal leathers but they had closed the business in lahore but still running factory in karachi. They might help you out.

@butwhy the thing is i am very much gr8ful to @capsat fr wat he did promptly and also to u fr the suggestion, now coming to this thread itz nt like that i only made this thread to get response and em nt doin any other effort, i am aftr this fr the last 2 mnths approxmtly and still no positive response frm anywhere i searchd silakkot, multan and gujrnwala mkt fr the desired product but no response at all and aftr all that effort i posted a thread here and Alhamdolillah i m getting response nw frm fellows like capsat, tintin1 and lahori and em sure other fellows will also contribute here, i have come to knw that Leather Field in Sialkot is doin Limesplit but when i approachd thm they didnt respond me dn knw y

as per hsa tanneries they dont do Lime Splitting and they also say that no one in entire Pakistan is doing Lime Splitting

I spoke with my friend who is production manager at tannery, he advised to check with shafi tannery Lahore about your requirement.

I just called a Director at Shafi Tanners told him what you are looking for, he excused, they are occupied with orders till 2020 from Europe & CIS.
so if they did not replied email, it is very obvious they are in no position to entertain any new inquiries. Am sorry., else i had intention to give him your number to speak with., we all belong to same clanship so it was very highly unlikely of him to give me a bouncer.

i have an initial sample order of around 500kg and further 20k a mnth regular order, wat elz they need in terms of order, bt the thing is no one is admitting that they can provide me Lime Split Rawhide or even they have the capacity of providing the desired Rawhide

Try calling. Most businesses don't reply to emails in Pakistan.

Contact Ahmed Yar, he has worked in the leather and was associated with Shafi Tanneries.

why don't you buy from china etc? You'll probably get a better price as well...

not yet, I met a technical person at Khwaja Tanneries Multan and he wz pretty sure that itz nt available in Kasuur, bt still i am going to Kasuur on coming Monday, Lets c wat happens there.

• as in case of Black Molasses - with name of Black Molasses it is not available anywhere, you show sample or ask for .. Desi Katcha Raab and every third shop have it in plenty.

i suggest you ask local hide[ skin ] dealers' market.. ' kutta k chabnay haddi wala chamra ' you may get a way out.

yes i will take the sample with me to kasuur as i did in case of Sialkot and u r very right the "angotha chaap class" there told me that it is "CHAIL" js by holding the sample in hand. they even offered to make a similar piece fr me with same dimensions size and everythng BUT the issue is their "CHAIL' is full of chemicals likewise chrome, sulphate and many others and they do not know how to make that "CHAIL" chemical free so that it becomes chewable, at that time itz job of a technical person specifically a Chemist and that Chemist told me that you need to do "Lime Splitting" of fresh hide and Lime is the only chemical which can be removed js by washing the hide and all other chemicals which they use to Split are non removable at all.

now we are heading towards light at end of tunnel - buy smallest possible quantity of " chail " and in same chamra market see who can make it chemical free, and it stays soft as in chewable.

iss ko dhona hai k chemical bilkuk nikal jai magar hard na ho,. keep half of that qty as original give half for cleaning treatment. after ward submit both for lab test & see how much has been removed and if a 2nd cleaning treatment can bring better result without making it hard.

if this can bring you desired results, ! YOOO ! you know what to do .. ! .. give that treated sample to chew bone maker and ask for result same as sample
