You definitely should. You may want to use a less viscous oil for better results. Least viscous I can use as per manual in 13, City in Karachi is 5W-30. Less viscous the oil, less resistance engine faces in movement resulting in better economy. Another advantage is that oil pump can pump it relatively free to all parts and because of less viscosity, it is easier to get into hard to reach spaces in engine. Only Con is that you'll engine will sound more compared to sound when using 20W-50.
About using thinner oil in older engines, even in the desert regions, Toyota recommends OW-20 oil for most economy sedans, irrespective of mileage of cars.

Just for testing purpose actually.
Engine is not making any problems. Actually when i brought it a few months back, the oil shop as well as my mechanic recommended 20w50 - he said after 100k, its better to shift to a bit viscous grade.
Havoline is going good, i was just curious can Havoline go with ceratec? Plus does ceratec increase the viscosity?

So finally I bought the Ceratec and poured on fresh oil during oil change.
Before that, I ensured to clean the carburetor (using the Spray), replaced the plugs, cleaned the PCV valve.
However i Believe that the effects will take place after driving it for at least 500-1000 km (i may be wrong), all i can say is i feel smooth acceleration and half self start in the morning but this could happen due to the tuning!

This is totally an experiment and i will not feel any regret/disappointed if i do not feel any positive changes. "Curiosity Killed the Cat!!"

Bought this Product for Rs. 2600 near Muslim Town Mor, Lahore or simply use Google Map for Liqui Moly Dealer you will reach to the exact location.

Hi,

I recently bought a 2004 Honda Civic with approx 100,000 KMs on it... Previous owner was using Kixx 20-50w oil in it.

Will it be a good choice to get Cera Tec after flushing the engine with some engine flush? and which oil should i use besides cera tec keeping in mind that the engine has been running on 20-50w for quite some time now and on high RPMs it gives a slight blow as well when the engine temp is cold.

Don't use engine flush and ceratec would not be help full so stick to the previous engine oil viscosity..

true - again. still using 5w40 synthetic in 180k driven civic 2015. For some reason, the pump guys do not want to pour it everytime. No idea whats wrong with people here.

Wet clutch plates are present in auto transmission of all cars. So not recommended for prosmatec or cvt transmission. You can use it in engine
