Generally, the recommended intervals already includes this idling, stopping at signals, etc.
For example, if company says change the engine oil after 5K, then it mainly refers to its clock (covered mileage).
However, having the FEAR of such things like idling, etc. many of us change pay for the 5K oil, but change it just after 3K.
And because Pak. people mainly follow the footsteps (particularly about oil change intervals) instead of using logics. That’s why companies do recommend to run for 5K oil until 3K only for the "safer side". This is totally weird. WHEREAS THE TRUTH IS THAT THEY ARE ONLY MAKING OILS THAT RUNS UPTO 3K, BUT USING THE FEAR AS THREAT AND ALWAYS ASK TO CHANGE EARLIER.
