Yep, Focal is a No Entry zone for me. Had a lot of chat often with Khurram bhai (ID:kzaki) and he has mentioned it every time that except for V30 all are bright, V30 is too but not to that extent, his experience.
He listened to my Infinity components and since comparing them to the A1 series, he liked the Infinity's tone very warm and much soothing to the ears. And that is exactly what I prefer in my music. I had multiple chances to switch to PS165 but again the 'bright' thing concerned me and I stayed away. So instead went for a much 'garam' cheez and got Kenny

Sir Zaki bhai is a seasoned SQ veteran and his say on this matter really does have the weightage unlike some other young pimp buds pimping for own gain. Excellent choice of the HU, kennys have a warm tone indeed, couple them with smoother sounding speakers and you will have an easy listening setup. Somehow i missed your thread, reading up on it now
