Low air flow from vents

my 02' civic had the low air flow problem. there was no cabin filter so the evaporator jali got blocked. had to wash clean it. Now its flow is good.

Also i installed the cabin filter so that next time only the filter will be changed or cleaned...

great metalhead ... can u plz tell me how did u insert filter in it . i don't think pakistani civic 02 has air filter Slot in its evaporator then how did u insert it ?

Go ahead with the filter part and Try to Get your car's a/c Serviced. The guy was right about leather/rexene seats Heating Up but that's no reason to Decrease air flow!

This is the filter pair which i got from Universal AC G8 Isb (Abubakar bhai)

Open the slot with 2 empty casings for the above filter pair behind the glove box
And put the filter elements in the casings.


Arrow shows the filter lid with a latch. Slide out 2 cases within.

I have found this product to be really amazing at this job, just feed the wand in the evaporator box and flood the box with the foam - let sit for 10 minutes then start the A/C - the condensate will wash out the junk.

Sadly - not available in Pakistan - we are still stuck in the "surf ka paani" way

soda water works - slowly though - but you need to agitate it as its foaming properties are not good. But it gets stuff out.

A freind of mine once used a cheap shaving foam too.

Ohooo meri honda purani ha goron ne filter ki jga ni rakhi evaporator mai.... now tell me what to do .... can.anything be done without opening dashboard ...and cleaning of evporator did nt work.for me coz when i refilled the gas cleaned evaporator ,problem of low air was still there .... ac chills at night but under sunshine air blow u know is already low moreover it dont cools cabin when car is going under the sun
...i hope msla samjh gae hoge mai isi waja se blow theek krwana chah rha hun k shyd noon mai theek hjae ac raat ko itni cool.kerta ha k low krna prta ha ac and din main specially dhoop.mai aksar kamar pe paseena hi hta hai

Dhoop mai thndk.wali feeeling kese laun i have a deep complex why my ca ac dont works like any other car at noon @xulfiqar

how was the gas charged? andaaza or weight measure?

follow factory recommended procedure to actually determine that your A/C is working as it should. Without a set control point of reference you cannot help this situation.

hmm yes u r right i will check cooling ... @xulfiqar can old foam under the dashbaord cause leak air blow to wind vent and feet vents instead of face vents? .. foam ka masla ho sakta ha ? should i open my dash for air blow? what will u suggest?

the foam you speak of is inside the air handler box (HVAC box) stuck on little doors. Its a very involved job to take out.

Same is available by CRC brand. Costs around 900 rupees.

Have never tried any of these. One question here, is it necessary to remove the cabin / pollen filter before using this foam?

no dotn remove any filter etc. - you have to snake the wand/pipe into the evaporator box from somewhere (easiest is from the drain pipe when the car is up on a lift being worked on) and flood the box - this foam expands a lot - it will push itself into the evaporator
