Low budget old car or new car

Dear All

Please guide me help me in buying a car for the first time.
As i have to travel with my family from Rawalpindi to Rahim Yar Khan many times in a year and used local transport. But now its getting difficult for us to travel on buses for such long distance.

My maximum budget is just 1.0 M/ 10 Lac. It is requested please guide me in this low budget which car i can buy which have at least some automation and economical.

Sir u can get older models of corolla and civic but then again their maintenance cost will be higher.If ur ok with that then go for them as their drive and ac performance is better than small 1000cc cars.And in hatchbacks u can get efi cultus which will be economical and maintenance cost will be lower.

forget automation, just keep it economical .. get a well maintained Cultus and your life will be easy for many years to come.

You just need to keep one thing in mind, with the budget that you have, you'll have to spend around 100k straightaway for the car to be in the satisfactory state to have peace of mind for some time. It could be tyres that you need, new battery, changing gear oil which the previous owner might not have changed for a long time, brake pads, alignment, tuning and many other tiny expenses, or it could be something big that suddenly came up which will make it a large aggregate. And since the last owner was looking to sell the car, they may have left all these tasks undone for you to be worried about. Unless you buy it from a showroom, so keep that in mind when filtering the price range.
