did u thought about lpg rate of 170 in winters, then petrol will be cheaper as compared to lpg

Brother it will still be cheaper and better. Rs. 170 means around Rs. 90 per liter or LPG and 25km per liter average is NOT bad at all! I am sure I have made the right decision and will advice everyone who wants to shift to alternative fuel due to unavailability of CNG and waiting in long queues.

people get same or less average as that of petrol, so if u r thinking about 25km per litre, that may be 25km per kg n not per litre
anyways in few weeks u'll have the average that we are waiting for

lpg rate keeps changing, u got it for 110rs per kg, yesterday i went n they told me its 130rs per kg now, thats alot of variation

so even if u got it filled in lpg cylinder that must be from some specific shop right as this shop guy said that they dont fill it in cars

Hascol LPG kit doesn't worth at all ... They offer LPG in liter and not in KG ... i have cultus 2003 model and in one liter car is giving mileage of 8 km/l before installation they stated the false statement that the mileage would be more than the petrol which is not true, they kept on making false statement that might be its tuning issue but in the end cannot get better mileage than 8 km/liter, I am selling kit of LPG if anybody needs it i can give it away for half of the price of new kit ... i can be contacted on 0333-3034907

I have installed 60 litre cylinder in my khyber and at today late i.e. PKR 54 per litre, full cylinder cost me PKR 3,240/-

Roughly it run in a range of 500 ~ 550 km within Karachi city limit with AC.

Very true information that conclude that taking 550 km in 3240 rupees the avg is 9.17 km per liter in lpg which is low compare to petrol because petrol gives 12 km per liter and far low from cng. Cng in 3240 rupees would have driven u 780 km ...

I would not recommend anyone to install lpg in their cars .. its not cheap and hardly there is 10% savings comparing driving car on petrol. For cng users please do not even think of installing the kit u will regret big time. lpg is only available on HASCOL and installing the lpg for 10% saving is stupidity rather its better to drive on petrol ...

In 3240 if you get 550 km in LPG than that is 5.8 rupees / KM . In CNG I normally get approximately 5 rupees / KM and in petrol at about 12Km/litre the average is 5.91 / KM and at 10 its about 7.1 rupees.

Let me do some correction here 3240/550(assuming maximum km)= 5.90 rupees per litre - CNG gives lets say my khyber with worst engine and giving poor millege is still giving 120 km in 500 rupees that makes 500/120=4.17 rupee per km ... now think of LPG price in winter it reaches to 85 rupee per litre how costly ur millege would be

Thanks for the correction, I did these calculations just to let every one know that the difference is very minor...however there is no guareentee that price of petrol will not jump significantly higher making CNG relevant again.

Yes, in winter this year price of LPG jump upto PKR 78 per litre, but the main problem is that in winter we also not get the CNG. Big lines and waste of time.

Now-a-days petrol is PKR 70 per litre and if in international market oil price fall further LPG price will be also going down. In LPG, mileage is same is at Petrol only difference is price. I will still prefer LPG upon CNG

People living in gulshan and johar might prefer lpg over cng to some extent and cng is available everywhere ... and unlike u there are many who cannot afford LPG in winter and may prefer to stand in a long line of cng ... to conclude lpg is not an alternate to any fuel its worthless

I like to add that I have used lpg for 1year and cng for 8years.and I felt better with lpg due to great acceleration with fuel economy my car gave 25km per kg with flooring the accelerator . The only problem is that we don't get clean lpg which emit alot of carbon in the header. Thus require switch on patrol after every 20km. To clean the headers for carbon deposit. If not done than the engine seal would leak also the filling nosel leak in short periods due to very low temperature. Ice on the kit. Proper lpg and Kitt are recommended as in outer countries lpg is preferred as a cleaner alternative fuel.

49 rupees per litre is just for a month time period ... unlike cng its prices vary and change without notice ... to be noted that 2 new importers imported lpg in high cost so the price will increase soon ...

According to details, the proposal to lower down CNG prices has been made to the petroleum ministry after declaration of Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC) as illegal.

As per the working paper, CNG prices in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan will go down by Rs 17.16 per kilogram while reduction of Rs 16.11 per kilogram has been proposed for the consumers in Sindh and Punjab. The petroleum ministry will take the final decision regarding decline in CNG prices.
