from where do u get ur cng cylinder full?
i emptied mine 55k cylinder n got cng full at full pressure of 220bar for 738rs at 8.51kg

The Average cost on LPG with in city is equal to petrol. there is no difference. like,

1 litre petrol = 10 KM (say)
1 liter LPG = 5 km. (after testing it in my car)

Think again before u switch , as in winter it's price will rise again.

Totally wrong Calculations

For a 1300cc car

1. 55kg Cylinder Full in ISB is for 900/-
Max mileage to gain locally is 140/- / 900Rs gas
Km cost is = 6.42/-
Not adding the cost of fuel that a car eats everytime we start it, not adding the cost of fuel a car takes in the days it drinks the fuel due to air restriction on inlet.

2. 10 Litre Petrol cost is 1030/-
Max mileage for a perfectly tuned EFI car w/out weight of CNG and air restriction is something around 13-13.5
Cost per km on fuel is 7.60/-
Avg mileage to gain is 135km / 1000Rs fuel

Difference 7.60-6.4 = 1.2 Rs
AVG usage / month is 3000Km
Cost on Gas= 19260/-
Cost on Petrol= 22800/-

Difference / month 22800-19260 = 3540/-

The calculations done in the ad are totally wrong, for even 1.5 Rs / km I wont like to take hassle of standing in lines and eventually getting 100Bar gas (half of which is air) and ruin the cars engine, carry a cylinder and ruin the trunk space, make my car eat more fuel due to air restrictions .

The CNG has now become a false economy, its just a feeling that you are saving fuel but actually its not, it is recommended not to go on car to buy eggs and bread, instead walk and park your car in one place in market and use LEG11 to shop. We the Pakistani,s have a dilemma that we park in-front of the shop to buy groceries.

Note: The fuel burned to get CNG is not added in above calculations.

my civic 05 1.6 p/t used to do 120km/cylinder in urban drive and its does like 10kmpl in urban drive if driven on petrol(no CNG).
my city 07 (totally driven on petrol) does like 12.5 kmpl in urban drive and a friend's city 06 does like 180 km/cylinder.
so ur calculations are not exactly correct.
no matter how u calculate, the difference in running cost of CNG and petrol is almost half.

and one day after spending billions on kit conversion and stations etc there will be LPG ban, load shedding, surcharge, additional surcharge, extra surcharge, leeve, import tax, etc to make it compatable with petrol. The reason will be ..... we are spending too many dollars on import of LPG so we want to discourage the use.

The calculations are right but the Terms are wrong, the mileage for petrol is mentioned in km/litre and for the gaseous fuels in km/kg.

Therefore 79.20/18= 4.4
and 97.00/19= 5.11

so the idea i get is that no CNG in future what will happen to poor people who travel on public transport and the one who invested millions in CNG sector ! a 1300cc category can afford petrol even 1000 cc what will mehran users do and taxi drivers poor they!

thts one's thinking bro jbkeh aisa khch nae hai 3 days there is a cng strike you have to run ur car on petrol unless apne 3 din gari ghr sae na nikalni ho ya kahein jana ho toh 10 bar sochein hayee gari mein gas na khtm ho jae
secondly ur var engine gets F****D up ...almost evry 2 out of 20 toyota running on cng have egine check light prblm...sometimes different sound from engine nd u have to spend bucks everytime
then once the strike is over stand up in line for one or two hour nd then u get to know oh the pressure is low litrlly its out thinking we ppl need to grow up rather saving 3-4 thousand a month
yea if ur car is on a rent a car business then it does saves u bucks

i wasnt talkin abt problems that cng has with it, this post is only for the consumption.
and yes i agree cng does bring some problems with it. and yes i agree if affordable prime fuel should be gasoline. but then again i believe in savings. with my city on petrol i have to spend almost 10000 a month just for the fuel cost alone. and with my merc on cng (yes a Mercedes W202 1800cc on cng) i have to spend like 6500 per month on fuel alone. i agree 6500 (consumption is double on petrol) is not much of a saving per month but it covers all the cost for repair and maintenance of both the cars.

i think LPG is a better fuelent , it keep ur car engine wet as compared to CNG and average is more then petrol and wear-tears are away less then CNG

Well My Car does 210 in 900RS CNG in ISB. on Petrol its not the same. Its still economical for most CNG users only big car's or badly tuned ones might say petrol gives them same economy. .

It must be 23-23km/kg... even my 2.0 73MKII do 21km/kg..

BTW (artificial) Shortage of CNG and introduction of LPG has a fishy link..

Can anybody confirm the number of lpg refueling stations in lahore? i heard only PSO shalimar garden is operating at the moment and is there any plan of PSO to open more stations in punjab? specially ISB/RWP region?
