Oil recommendations needed of front/rear differential and transfer case for 2010 Vigo

Hi,

I recently bought a Toyota Corolla GLI 2015, Manual with 152k mileage. Please guide what's the most suitable oil compnaya and oil grade for this car.
Previous owner used Havoline 10W30 & Shell 10W40. What should I go with?

Hello everyone, I need some expert advice!

I recently purchased a 2017 Civic X, which has been driven about 88,000–89,000 km. However, I’m unsure if this mileage is accurate, as I don’t have any service history for the car. To be safe, I’m planning to get the gear oil changed (CVT Gear Box), but I’m a bit confused about the correct procedure.

One Honda dealership quoted me for just changing the gear oil (3.5 liters) and the warmer filter. But when I checked YouTube videos, they showed that I also need to replace the pan filter (the large filter inside the gear oil) along with the warmer filter, and this requires more than 3.5 liters of oil.

So, what’s the correct process? Has anyone here done this before? Also, can anyone recommend a good Honda dealership where I can get this done properly? I’d prefer to have it handled by Honda for peace of mind.

Use 5w30.

Ditch these odd viscosities like 10wX. There’s no point in it, it’s just bad specially in winters.

5wX works across all temp ranges.

I’m not sure about Honda’s CVT fluid change process but if it’s anything like Toyota, stay away from desi mechanics who don’t follow the official procedure.

Look up authentic sources for correct way to change CVT f.

I changed CVT fluid on my 2019 Civic X oriel at 70K milage from Honda Avenue.

it was a simple drain and pour procedure like engine oil. they didnt change any filter.

changing cvt oil doesnt specifically require all cvt box filter changes (i couldnt find it in manual) at 70K kms. you should also check your car manual as well.

it is recommended to stick with simple procedure and dont try and over do anything.

Engine saaf condtion mai hai
Prevous user ne 10w-40 Totachi Semi Synthetic Oil Use kia hai
Toyota Recommended SAE 0w-20 or 5w-30 hai
oil down grade karna chahiye?
please expert or jo bhai is trh karchuke hain apna experience share karain.

G bhai only use 0w20 fully synthetic oil in it.

Max you can go is 5w30.

Just make sure the oil is bought from reputed dealer.

It’s not going to ruin your engine at the temp ranges we get in winters (unless in skardu/swat) but 5w just is easier to start and widely available. So why go for a limited temp range when 5w is also available at the same price mostly.

But there are some 10w30 like Mobil which has a lower MRV than their 5w30.

Oil one can honda genuine cvt 3.something litre was under 8000rs

Aoa i have Toyota fielder automatic ODO 250k km
Mechanic suggested my father to use 20w50 as car engine was old and my father did started to use it
Now when i started to drive car i learnt that 20w50 is used for almost dead engines with problems
Now I'm thinking from changing to zic 10w40 synthetic
My car so far doesn't have any engines problem as much as i know
According to my father he has only used 20w50 only 4 to 5 times changing it timely and was using zic (grade not known) before
Should i stick to 20w50 or try to change it zic 10w40 and if should change what should be the intervals of next oil change and any other things which i should know

Please change your mechanic first then lower oil viscosity to 10w40 then 10w30. Use good quality oil then you are good for 5,000kms
