0W-30 means the temperature at which the engine will provide optimal performance i.e: 0-30 degree.

Your understanding of correlating 0W-30 to 0–30 degrees is wrong. These numbers represent average viscosity at 40C and 100C.

You can safely use 0W-30 where 5W-30 is recommended.

As per maintenance book oil change interval is 10000 km or 6 months which ever come first. In addition to this it says if indication of oil change comes earlier than 10000km then go with indication.
But recently when i visited dealership they were saying that they have change the policy to 5000km or 3 months. Moreover if indication for oil change comes earlier then change according to indication.
Issue is that my indication for oil change comes after 9000 km and varies depending on routes.
Kindly let me know when should i change oil ?
Should i follow maintenance indication ?
Or should i change oil on every 5000 km ?

Dealerships are profit hungry these days. They are not earning much from car sales so they are trying to make profit other ways.
The warranty book of 11th gen Civic is correct and in compliance with the owner's manual which is the most authentic source of info for the vehicle.
Honda 0W-20 API SP is fully synthetic oil.
Synthentic oils must be changed at 6 months or 8,000 km which ever comes first. It can go up to 10,000 km but honestly you can never meet those (non-severe) conditions.
In case of 11th gen Civic, if the maintainance minder informs you to change oil earlier than the intervals mentioned above, then do it. Don't wait for 8000 km or 6 months mark.

(chances are, maintenance indication will be first one, keep an eye on it, change accordingly)

Using oil other than Honda 0W-20 will void your warranty. So don't use aftermarket oil

Which car are you referring to? Best to change with 4000-4500km or 6 months interval. Oil grade should be selected by referring to owners manual.

Alto comes with semi-synthetic 10w40 from factory. It is advisable to change that every 3 months.
If you use fully synthetic oil (0w20 or 5w30) in the future, change it every 6 months

Fully synthetic oil is good for 1 to 2 years if within the KM driven specs. changing it on 6 months is wastage of money.

only 0W-20 if you are in cold area, or 5W-20 engine oil. buy only from reputed shop.

I went to Honda dealership (HONDA HORIZON BAHAWALPUR) to tune my Honda City 1.3. During tuning they mistakenly started the engine for 30 seconds without no oil in it... I asked you turned on engine with no oil, on which they were apologetic. Is there any harm if car started without engine oil for 30 seconds.... Apparently car is running fine....

after draining the oil , theres stilll some oil in the engine , shoul be fine , but that was a real stupid mistake.
