a brand new roll out vehicle, engine oil change is mentioned by the dealership at time of delivery may be around 3000 kms.

please make sure to follow user manual instructions as long as vehicle is under warranty

It's written API SN which is basically fully synthetic. Warranty is another story. Try and claim the warranty of this vehicle after eid leaves and you will find the answer.

Api rating has nothing to do with the oil being fully synthetic, semi synthetic or mineral. Lots of oils in the market which are api SN rated but are mineral ones.

SM has lower maximum limit than SG, but current common offerings of SG like havoline probably have very little ZDDP juudging from their low TBN in their product data sheet. Oils dont have a minimum limit so in reality a low quality SG can have lower ZDDP than SM, BTW the ZDDP or SAPS limit are only till w30, w40 and w50 oils even with SN dont have to comply with SAPS limit, this is possibly true for SP too.

are you using the latest havoline 5w40 SP formulation? it looks shady by saying eco on it, arent eco oils uptill w30 only, further its viscosity and viscosity index did not match in the PDS a while back, now the PDS is deleted from the website and only the PDS of older 2 versions of 5w40 are available

There are company operated oil outlets of Caltex and Total in different cities. You can share your city name and preferred brand and we will share the location details with you. For filter either buy it from 3s dealership or there are some 1s shops like Hamza younas and Mehran autos in pindi or online there is parts central where you can get original filters. Dont buy the filters from the oil change place.

Oil prices are soaring so I wanted to check how long I can keep using my Toyota (idemitsu blended) 0W20 SP fully synthetic Taglon Supreme in my 1KR Vitz 2018.
Poured this for the first time in Aug-22 at 33K km (Rs. 4.5K for 3.7 L) and replaced with same in Feb-23 at 40K km (Rs. 6K for 3.7 L). So 7K km and 6 months.
Right now the situation is that I am at 43.5K km, 3.5K run and 6 months gone. What to do? Replace now, or wait 2-3 months. I expect to be at around 5-6K km since last oil change in around 2-3 months.
Performance is ok otherwise, fuel average and engine smoothness.

My honda civic x is 240k driven and i just put Kixx G1 10w-40 oil in it. It is a semi synthetic oil so is it okay for my honda civic?

If you mean the trips are short, then not really. It has at least 2-3 trips of around 25 km each per school day, Then 1-2 shorter grocery runs of around 2-3 km.
For the current oil change period, the km are less vs last time since there were school holidays in between.

run the same oil for a 1-2 months more, short trips deplete the TBN quicker so does the high sulphur fuel.

best way to gauge your oils condition would be an oil analysis, in future though you can select an oil with relatively higher TBN, that may give you a little cushion, check product data sheet before selecting oil. You probably wont find it for taglon supreme but no harm in asking toyota indus, when they first launched taglon 5w50 i asked and they provided the info.

Can anyone share their experience regarding zic x7 10w-40 as it is the only API sp rated fully synthetic oil I could find for the grade 10w-40 as other like total and havoline are API sn or so. Car is Toyota Corolla xli 2010. 1.3 2nz Fe

I bought a 2019 Alto AGS.
Its 89k Driven.
Gear oil isn't changed uptil now. The seller told me on last visit Suzuki showroom checked gear oil and said it's ok change is not needed.
Engine oil and tunning is done by pak Suzuki showroom.
Most probably they put in 10W40.
Now i need suggestions?
During drive there is a jerk while gear shifting, which is very less by tapping method.( Releasing race n then acceleration to change gear).
Which gear oil to use?
Which engine oil to be used?
Is tunning from pak Suzuki necessary?
My concept is if i change oil grade from 10w40 to 5w40 or 0w40 it may damage engine as changing engine oil viscosity does so? Please guide?
