When should I change engine oil of Fortuner Legender ? I did the first change at 500km with liqui moli. Car is at 2500km now.

Dont you get free service from toyota at this mileage.
Anyways you should check the owners manual, it will give you exact mileage or time period for oil change

Hello guys
I am using vitz 2014 from last 4 years. My car mileage was 45000 from that time I am using shell Hx7 5w-30 as engine oil. Now my car mileage is 87000km. should I change the viscosity of engine oil if yes which one is suggested?
Note: using 5w-30 till now I have not faced any problem but car efficiency is dropped from 18km/L to 15.3 km/L.

I dont think you really need to change viscosity unless you are having issues such as oil burning or some other engine issues. Your car efficiency could be due to dirty air filter, or old spark plug or driving pattern. I dont think the efficiency has anything to do with the engine oil in this case.

U can try PSO Carient 5w-30 as its cheaper then Shell HX7 and is also API SP.

Sometimes there is oil burning but very minimum.

Stick to 5w30 or may try 0w20.

Dont go higher or thicker weights. Unless massive oil burning.

After realising that suzuki has been pouring 10w40 in my Cultus AGS 2018 for the last 65000 kms, i have decided to switch to 5w30
1. Can i switch to 5w30 now? 5w30 was used till 60k then suzuki poured 10w40 till 120k. I'll keep an eye on the levels.
2. Can i use Liquimoly Fully Synthetic 5w30 in cultus (assuming 10k change interval)
3. What is the recommended oil grade in Suzuki manual/book?
4. Can i switch from 10w40 to 0w20 directly?

Just stick to 5w-30 that should be ok. Even 10w-30 should be good.
However, if there is significant oil burning then u can switch to 5w-40 or 10w-40
But for now 5w-30 is good, do NOT go for 0w-20 as its not needed for your car and can lead to more oil burning.

As for 5w-30 shell helix hx7 is good but you can also try PSO carient 5w-30, thats also good and has API SP rating

1. Yes, you can switch to 5w-30 but theres no need as such to do so, if you want you can switch to 10w-30 instead of 10w-40.

2. Yes, you can, but why spend extra on Liquimoly when we have quality oils like Shell hx7 5w-30 full synthetic. Generally, most fully synthetic oils last 10k km intervals.

3. I would not recommend switching to 0w20 oil as it is light oil and could lead to oil burning.

My conclusion would be that stick to 10w40, or if you really want to change the grade then go for 5w-30 or 10w-30. If you want 10k change interval then go for a fully synthetic 5w-30 oil such as shell hx7, or pso, or mobil super 5w-30. These 3 oils are all API SP grading.

Go for 5w30 and monitor level. If it stays the same during duration of interval, you are most likely fine.

Prev owner did the same with my every turbo for 30,000kms. I have switched to 5w30 for last 10k, no issues for me alhamdulillah. It has about 135,000 Kms with no consumption.

have my corolla grande 2018 CVT-I oil changed by dealership (Toyota Western) in karachi.
At the time I did not about oil types and I thought dealership would know better.
Today when I checked the Trunk I found the Tin box of CVT TC oil in my car.
I am really concerned now as after reading this thread it says that my car required CVT FE.
What should I do? Will the dealership accept this claim? Is there a way to report to toyota Indus of this negligence by their 3S partner?

I use Suzuki SGO (Now ECSTAR) 5w30/10w40 in my new cultus since the start. The car is out of warranty and i plan to keep it.
I heard suzuki takes oil from total.
Should i just directly take (Genuine) Total Quartz then or stick to Suzuki? I think there is around 800 price difference. If the oil is the same i want to take from total and save trips to dealerships.

Also please recommend an affordable fully synthetic 5w30 for cultus eith change interval. I use Liquimoly for my Prius but for cultus i want to go on a budget.

Use Honda mtf. Use any dot3 brake fluid, just get any known company.

This is quoted from a website. If you have proof they put TC instead of FE and are concerned about this, you may show said proof and argue them to change it out.

From some basic research, it seems FE is of less viscosity to improve fuel economy. However, do not quote me on this. I had trouble finding a straight answer form any research.
