His case is unique because he has a very high revving flat tappet cam engine and a rotor oil pump beating the oil to hell and back over and again. Dosing the oil with high antiwear or something else that can even help with latent heat can all show such effect.

Just to add an example. In Pakistan, toyota is using 5W30 Taglon X oil in Yaris. And if someone wants to use thicker (10W40) or thinner oil (0W20), almost everyone, including dealerships say that it is not right. But in owners manual (international version), Toyota lists all following grades as recommended viscosities: 0W20, 5W20, 5W30, 10W30, 15W40.
So as per manual xW20 is also right and xW40 is also right.

Hello everyone, I have Toyota yaris cvt 1.3 and I've driven it 50k. I recently got my gear oil changed. I'm a bit confused bcoz the recommended capacity is 4L but my car just took 2.5 litres. Coz the mechanic did not open it's chamber as he said that it's a new car no need to open the chamber and at second service the chamber needs to be opened and cleaned and then it will take 4litrs. So please let me know is it okay to drive now?

Can use PSO Carient S-PRO 5w30 fully synthetic, or Shell HX7 Plus 5w30, or Total Quartz 5w30. All are fully synthetic.

I just found zic x7000 and it is cheap also but it is 10 30 fully synthetic

To my knowledge ZIC has no 10w30 they only have 10w40.
So I suppose what u are referring to is ZIC 10w40 which is Fully synthetic.
But its 10w40 not 10w30

Havoline is the biggest brand available locally in official capacity, may try it. Fully synthetic api sp with additional top certifications.

They are slightly different, to my knowledge fuel system cleaner is stronger and is for whole system. While I suppose injector cleaner is for just the injectors.

I have Suzuki swift 2016 total driven 134,000
I bought it a year ago, Previous owner using 20w50 kixx engine oil and I used the same two times.
But I read online forums and everyone says 10w40 is good for swift, please suggest me should I change the engine oil or keep using 20w50? Also can I change kixx to zic with same viscosity?

10w-40, 10w30, 5w30 and 5w40 also can be used in Swift. 20w50 is way too thick in my opinion

However, now since u are using 20w50 you can change to 10w40 easily.

I would recommend She’ll HX6 10w40 or ZIC 10w40 or Total Quartz 10w40.

If while using 10w40 everything is well and you are not having oil burning then u can switch to 10w30 or 5w30 also if u want. Otherwise if u stick to 10w40 it’s also ok.

Yes, as long as you are not having any oil burning with 10w30 now you can easily switch to any 5w30 full synthetic.

How was your experience with pso 10w30 btw?
If u had good experience with pso 10w30 u can even use pso 5w30
