q1 yesq2 havoline slightly cheaper then total
Your input and advice is highly appreciated.
Would you recommend shifting to a different oil grade like 0w 20.Would it solve or reduce this oil burning issue.
Keep driving and periodically topping it.. as long as its just city driving, it doesn't matter..
As others already mentioned. Just top up after 2k km. No need to switch grades.
Not sure which is the cheapest rates you can get from the market.
At this stage i think sticking to the same grade would be the right option. I personally feel that Total's 5w30 gets consumed more than other brands. how about switching to another brand? such as ZIC. The other thing i can suggest it it is better to use OEM oil filters as the spring loaded bypass valve in non-OEM oil filters do not have the right pressure. (meaning that oil can get bypassed from filtration at a lower pressure). the market is filled with fake oils and filters. one should be on guard against the fake products.
Switch to another brand. Havoline prods 5w30 and shell helix ultra 5w30 are good options. Don't go fot HX7, it's a semi synthetic oil and has a visc of 11.8 which is not beneficial for 1kr. Fuel economy oriented oils work best on 1kr-fe.
