Wa Alaikum Asalam. First of all understand the oil grades and dont worry. 5W-30 and 5W-50 have the same viscosity at cold start because both oil are 5W, but when the engine is at normal operating temperature then 5W-50 oil will be thick which works like 20W-50 and it will damage the engine. I would recommend you to use 0W-20 Caltex Havoline oil with Genuine oil filter. 0W-20 grade is recommended for Corolla and Caltex 0W-20 is fully synthetic and best oil.

Might get this on next oil change in FL Revo. Seems better on paper vs the Dezon 20w50.
Toyota also has a Taglon 5w50, SN/CF (gasoline/diesel), fully synthetic. Not sure if its correct viscosity. Manual states 5w30 or 10w30.

Asalamualikum,

I own a Daihatsu Hijet Cargo, Model: 2016, I would like to change it's gear oil, since the gear shifting seems a bit rigid. Mileage is around 83000 km. It has a O/D button on the gear as well. How do I know if it's CVT or not? and which Gear Oil should I go for?

Taglon 5w50 and dezon 20w50 will have same thickness at normal operating temperature only starting will be better of taglon in winter
Best reccomended is 5w30 but Toyota only has 10w30 petron plus which is CF so it is a better option

I am hearing that 0W-20, 5W-20, 5W-30 will give good efficiency and fuel average.
Can you please suggest me whether the current type is good or should I replace one? If possible, please justify. I need guidance.

Also, I am living in the southern Sindh, so temperature is between 40-50°C. With the current oil, I am getting fuel average of 18.9km/L. However, the engine is making much noise when accelerating. Also, in low gears such as 1st, and 2nd, the car is not moving properly but with hurdles.

I am hearing that 0W-20, 5W-20, 5W-30, 0W-30 will give good efficiency and fuel average.

Can you please suggest me whether the current type is good or should I replace one? If possible, please justify. I need guidance.

Banaspati Ghee (10W50) is not good for health of engine please.

5W30 of trusted brand is all weather engine oil for any PKDM EFI engine vehicles.

Engine is rebuild of cultus 2005 3 cyclinder each and everything from head to assembly and 1000 km done as well. Need to ask what enginer to use now 10 40 or 20 50 or anyother or which brand. For better milage and engine performance

Try 10W30 first.

at 1000 km 1st oil change after rebuild, start using 5W-30. and stick to that as long as you own it.

make sure vehicle is using correct coolant (Caltex premix), with thermostat in cooling system, fans functional on automatic.
