Hello Pakwheelers I've recently purchased Cultus 2015 and it's my first car with over 100K mileage. Can i use 5W30 or 5W40 engine oil instead of 10W40 and i'm living in Islamabad. Moreover can you suggest the best brand i've heard Caltex is good oil as compared to Shell etc?
Yes sure!.
5w30 is great for it. but it will be slightly on expensive side
if you are budget conscious, caltex 10w30 is fine, esp in summers

I am not sure if this thread is live.I just wanted to ask about the engine oil.The previous owner used to pour 20w-50, now valve cover gasket has some leakage. And I am confused, if I can shift to 10W-40 after gasket replacement as many people have faced crank noise after shifting from 50 oil to 40 grade oil.
Aoa all pakwheelers!Recently bought civic exi prosmatec 06 model with 120k on odo. Previous owner was using 20W-50 in it. And I have heared that 10W-40 is best for this engine. But one of my fellow civic owner said that he faced crank noise when he shifted from 20W-50 to 10W-40 and some of the people had got their too weak after this change.Any leads?Anyone here who had done it in his civic?
P.S there is valve cover gasket leakge too, I will replace the gasket before the oil change.

0w-20 Toyota genuine or any other reputed brand, must be genuine
In manual, Toyotal also mentions 5w30 in addition to 0w20. One more thing, is Havoline brand good?
For your car as it is new, 0w-20 is better. As I mentioned, must have to be genuine... Copies are widely distributed too, beware.. I personally use caltex havoline in my car.
For genuine oil you can buy from daraz mall, Directly from the company seller.
