Nadir,

There are two Army colors, the green and the desert camel. Just make sure you don't have the camel colored vehicles in Quetta, which I think there are... otherwise it would be a problem. Even so if not with the authorities, then with the other parties, so don't take that risk.

We have a yellow mutt, a while mutt but have not seen an orange one yet. Maybe a matte orange would look nice, like that in pic 4.

Whatever you choose, make sure it looks 'civvy' from all angles & distance. Good luck

my Mutts differential is broken and it needs a new one. Can anyone help in quoting price/availability in lahore/rawapindi. My mechanics quoting the price at around 22-23k in pindi.

Asim , if that is the quote for a NOS diff then the price is right. If its a take out then it should not be more than 8000.

Dear Sarmad, thanks so much for your quick reply. Just need a bit of clairty, by NOS you mean a new diff/ is that for a different jeep/cr? and "take out" would be from the auction yard of a non-restored similar MUTT?

I need to call up my mechanic and ask him details about this. Are the prices you mentioned in Karachi?

Is there any place in lahore where I could check this as well?

Dear Sarmad, I spoke to my mechanics. while he was unable to differentiate between a "NOS"or a "take out"but he told me that it was a "Kaabli"and guaranteed to work fine.....
should i go ahead and get it?

Asim, "kaabli" would be a takeout. And a takeout for 22 is very expensive. Here the takeouts are for 8,000 with a 7 day money back guarantee (given by the good decent sellers), if you give your bad diff to them, then it costs 6000.

NOS or New Old Stock would probably still be in its box & packing. The 22k price for that seems Ok.

If you have a good mechanic, ask him for an alteration. You can fit in a similar size diff & that of a Mercedes 220D fits in well, with the least bit of alteration. Saqib, here on the forum has Suzuki SJ410/Potohar diffs in his Mutt.

Blue, black, grey ........what is the color ? I suggest you put Bull Horns on the hood (bonet) and it'll look as civvy as it can

I don't think the hood will be available, will check for the indicators.

Dear All,

I want to change the stock curburetor of my MUTT since i have had quite a few challenges with it in the past. I have read the forums and someone recommended suzuki carburetor. I would want to know the following:-

A. which are the best possible fix (with alteration) in the jeep? Suzuki carry/bolan 1000 cc/ 800cc carb?

B. How much should it cost and what effort is required in geting it installed in terms of alteration work etc?

Asim, Suzuki Supper Carry Carb is the bet fit in Mutt.

New Chinese Carb should cost you arround 3k.

Suzuki Carry Stock one is of 8k.

Go for the chinese, its perfectly all right.
