MODS:
2" drop on all suspension points, 2" square steal in between the body and front suspension
longer shocks, longer springs, home built drop pitman arm and 3/4 ton chevy idler arm drop 2 inches,
tierods reinforced, rear wheel camber adjusted and rear shocks replaced with rancho 9000's and moved to under fender, dual stock transmissions, dana 44 rear diff narrowed to stock mutt specs with an ARB air locker, cutter brakes, air compressor(powered by mutt starter motor),warn 24v 9000 lb winch,32 10.50 15 TSL swamper radials,stock front diff with sammy locker,custom u joints. Lots of other mild changes like turning rear bumpers upside down to increase departure angle, main jet drilled, dual exhaust outlets connecting to a 2", front bumper cut, CB radio, radio, etc..

I'm having some issues with my jeep these days, It isn't starting the for the first tym when i try to start either in morning tym or even any other tym,!after that it starts fine, except if left for more than 3-4 hours! i.e everything cooled down!
i start it by pushing or othr ways,! even jump starting doesnt work !
i got the Starter fixed two weeks back,but it is in the same condition now again!
also that originally the problem startd even before the winters!

Almost the same problem was with me. And I use to gve 6-7 heaters (it's having 2C diesel engine). Thn some one told me to check it to electriction. The electrition said there is timing fault & he adjust it in 10-15 mins & charged Rs:200/=

which engine reliable for mutt mean to say its original petrol or any converted diesel or any other engine

Hey guys!

Us friends recently got our hands on a M151 and already loving it.
Fired her up 2 days ago. She is running the original engine and tranny along with all the original essential engine bits except the carb which i THINK is from a suzuki sj and the fuel pump as the original(still in its place) will need to be rebuilt and i need a kit for that with diaphragm and all.

We did the wiring yesterday and got most of the stuff working. We are missing a circuit breaker though.

I need some help now from all Mutt fans and experts specially those in RWP/ ISB area.

Heres the list of parts i need before she gets on the road.

1.Circuit breaker(didnt find one at city sadar road/saddar/baoo muhalla/mithoo khan)
maybe some one could tell me of an alternate that you all are running ? a fuse combination that would run on 24Volts...
2.Steering wheel horn button
3.Plug Wires (fired her up with make shift wires for now but i need her to be water proof)
4. Spare wheel (rim only for now) will get all 5 new tires later
5. Wind screen ( its cracked) although its simple and straight and can be fabricated anywhere but I was hoping some one could guide me to a tried and tested source.
6. front indicator lenses, rear brake light lenses and one headlight glass cover (preferably original lenses...dont really want to resort to the local made alternative).

I have restored a couple of VW beetles before but being new to the 4X4 world i could use all the help i can get.

For now this is all. will post pictures and updates as work progresses. I plan on keeping her as close to the stock layout as possible only modifying where there is no other option.

u can get the proper windscreen from city sadar road @ 2500 rs
go to askari autos for front indicators,and rear brake lights,u can also find them on city saddar road
one help from ur side i need the rubbers for my vw thing ,lights,and beetle steering coloumn with steering wheeel

also, about the circuit breakers. can those be sourced from somewhere? and the horn button?

as for your thing. what rubbers are needed? how bad is your current steering column and wheel?(if there is one at all) im sure we can source all the parts from somewhere. Rubbers might be a little tricky but worry not, the VW community is very strong and helpful here in Isb.

How about we meet up some time and exchange notes on our vehicles? PM me your contact number. im sure I can learn a lot from you regarding the mutt and would love to help you out with your VW.

Salam Guys.
I went to tune up my MUTT last few days to Rawalpindi, had an idea so got these Rods made, to open the jeep whenever i want, was a good idea though but my already built TAARPAL didnt agree to it very well , as it is not getting proper setting acording to these rods, so i am thinking of just giving up the idea, and sticking with the Original fitting.
Now if any one here want these, as i dont plan to use them i can give these out.!
especially any one who does not have a hood made already, can easily get it fabricated acording to these rods.
