M38A-1 Stuck in Mud

Hi guys,

Hope ur all fine. Sharing with you another offroad adventure on my M38A1. All started at approximatley 12 noon when we started offroading on a diging site close to our residence. Crossed many muddy tracks and atlast got stuck in a knee height pond of mud. Tried all the tricks for something like two hours and then got out other ride daewoo 1.5 DOHC (stage 1 modified) to pull it off but all in vain. Called a passing by toyota BJ 40 for the help and pulled it out after breaking a couple of towing ropes.

Now again decided to cross the same track and successfully crossed it two time. But the third time the jeep front tyres got in the position where the tyres were previously stuck. Tried to get the jeep out with the following vehicals.

Daewoo
Kia Sportage 2008
4x4 Hilux

But again all in vain and it was around 6pm. So we decided to drain the water out and park the jeep there all night.

Next day we took rear wheel drive normal tractor which also got stuck in the mud :o. Now we brought a Fiat 9090 (4x4 tractor) which first took out the stucked tractor and then our jeep.

In the whole adventure my PDA got a taste of mud and got out of order. Also the video of the tractor rescue was unluckily not captured because I was all in the mud.

Bro follow a simple rule and u will not go through all this drama again. Offroaders travel in pack or atleast a couple. Reason for that is to look out for one aother. Its always more fun when u know that their is some on dry land who could get u out of a sticky spot. That way u can take risk and not regreat it in at the end of the day.Normally when stuck in mud the problem lies at the bottom, meaning ur chassis basically rest on mud and tubes/axles work as anchors thus making it very hard to get out.

Basic theory is to get a heavy machine on a dry surface attach it with a heavy tow chain and try with a jerk that way the mud losses it position and giving u a better chance of rescue.

Or u can always call one of IJC chaps in pindi to help u out..Good part is they wont charge u and u will be done with a simple cup of tea n a thank u.lol.

@TLCFJ40 Thanks bhai. I'll consider these things next time for sure. I also called Ammir bhai today and invited IJC to the track. Next time I'll call one of you btw any member of IJC living near Chack Shehzad? Also I didn't have any tension of rescuing the jeep as this place was merely 400m from my house and the area is secured as well as we have no problem of getting the tractors as agricultural land is nearby.

To sum it up I thorouly enjoyed the adventure (except the PDA part)

nicely done buddy, keep it up...as far as MUD is concerned, i think people around you will guide you better, Baqi Chai/Panee wala kam isloo me he hot hai ajkal.

Thanks buddy. Actually the track was a digging site and the mud was due to de-located and uncompacted soil.
