Yes, I have DC ampere meter and digital DC mulitmeter. would you be kind enough if you guide me thoroughly regarding trickle charging kits' (104 or 105) adjustments with AGS 165 battery (new and 1 year old).

1- Does local UPS charges battery at pure DC current? ......NO.....its pulsating DC not pure DC. by installing DC capacitor , we can get pure DC but thats not required.

AS I have local UPS and have not found charging ampere control variable there and its charging rate reaches upto 25 amperes on AGS 165 old battery. charging amperes reduce to 10 ampere during charging with 13.4 volts at battery terminal. I have set UPS charging stop here. I have seen trickle charging kits which have ampere control variable on them.

2- Is there any way/method to determine/find actual AH rating of battery at any stage as you have mentioned that AH rating reduces with the passage of time?

Full charge the battery then put load of 500 Watts on it.........Calculate the Back up time.......then u can get an idea of actual ampere/h

New UGS 175 Phoenix batteries have a screw for installing magic eye as in AGS 165...... Company may install magic eye in future to tell the user about charging state of battery.

From where to get magic eye for it?
Will it void the warranty?

I have few queries.(desi ups)
1. I saw some deposits(whitish in color) on my battries terminal n i hope those deposits are not gud for terminals so plz tell me the proper way to clean that deposit.
2.i want to change the electrolyte of my battries as backup is reduced much and ups is charging the battries all the time n i dont have any knowledge abt the charging currrent and cut off voltages.kindly suggest me the shop in rwp or islamabad from where i can buy the proper electrolyte. As i cnt prepare it by my own or if any member(from isl or rwp) is going to prepare electrolyre for himself then plz do me a favour .i will pay for all the cost.
3.i want to purchase a multimeter which should be capable of taking all the required readings while dealing with a ups.kindly mention the brand and model and plz a bit less costly as i dont want to put much load on my pocket.
At last after getting all these things i will bother u people again to do the correct settings of my ups.

Go dry. I have a Narada gel series battery which is ideal for ups application. I am an electronics engineer and can tell you many reasons for not getting involved with ags exile and Osaka.
One reason to get you going is that they are not deep cycle batteries and require constant maintainance.Pay 30k for once and be free for the next 5 years. I recommend Narada and just Narada. No other dry cell batteries. Make sure the production date is not more than 5 months when you purchase a dry battery. That's the only solution.
Also the real Ah is always more with the dry cells and with the flooded batteries it decreases exponentially with months passing.

You have a 1.5kw ups. That's awesome, tell me the wattage of load and the time you want to run that load for, you wouldn't necessarily need 60k for Narada.
Needs some calculations and series parallel combination to adjust your requirement.

Multimeters come in wide ranges. I'll recommend what I use personally and am satisfied with it. It's UNIT Multimeter. It's reasonable in price and life lasting. You can get a clamp meter or a probe meter from this company. In rwp isb you can get it from college road, I bought it from Peshawar Rose radio.

Uni-T Multimeter. Costs around 800-1500. Epic build quality and all functions you would need. It's enough for my use where I need to play with electronics and you would need it to measure voltages and currents mostly. Remember there are different techniques to measure voltages and currents. You use the wrong ones and that might cost you a blown Multimeter and at times fried equipment

There is a new Plaza made in board. Shereen mahel has also opened a franchise there, there is a shop in the basement ask for Engr. Ali Khadim give him my reference he will give you all the info you need. Also if that place is hard for you to find. Go to Solar bryte shop in a Plaza opposite to pso pump arbab road stop and ask for this guy he will help you out.

Thanks for all ur help bro.my load is mostly 5-6 fans + 5-6 energy savers + 32 inch led some times and i think 2 -3 hours backup time is enough.
I will visit college road bt one more thing which one to buy clamp meter or probe meter.which one is better in terms of functionality and also usability.

Brother clamp meter is usually used to measure currents in cables that do not have end points or which are already connected. Eg you want to measure current drawn by your AC all you have to do is open the clamp and bring that wire inside the clamp loop, set your limits in the multimeter and volla you get the current. Also you can connect probes to the clamp meter to use it as a probe meter. Probes are woh red and black wires jo banda points pay lagata Hai. So the probe meter doesn't have a clamp.
I have a probe meter but I need the clamp at times where I need to measure the current in the running wire. Buy a clamp meter by UNI-T. You wouldn't need one for the rest of your life.
The people will guide you through it as well.

I don't know about the wattage for your LCD TV but rest of the stuff running simultaneously for 3 hours would require 200AH. I know you wouldn't be running a everything all together yet I think for a backup of normal use where you use 4 fans and 4 lights with an LCD, 200AH would be an ample amount of Battery. And 200AH in Narada will cost you around 50k I guess. Not sure about 200 price. I'll see if I could confirm and reply to you with the price.
