Dear Friend,
Regarding your second question, if you will ask my opinion then I wonât doubt any of the manufacturers as the basic entity which saves electricity is Lead Acid plates which is common in all lead Acid batteries. All Manufacturers will have to follow the same very principal to form lead acid plates using same very Raw material. So if I were you and considering in Mind that I want to buy, A Lead Acid battery with capacity of 150 AH then probably I would go for phoenix as that is the cheap if you compare the price with its counterpart. Why because, it I think quality should be same, the only difference is the marketing strategy of one company over another, may be other companies are old and they are able to convince people that their product has been there in market for longer time thatâs why they should buy their product.
Now everything in Lead Acid battery boils down to the fact that how have you been using them. In same very thread, you must have heard people complaining that their batteries failing after a use of only 6 months why because they had not been using electrolyte prepared from distilled water. Batteries shops tell people that the maximum life of these batteries is one year because they want them to buy new one so that they can maintain a running business. I donât know a single shop in Rawalpindi or Islamabad area which prepares the electrolyte with distilled water. Reasons for this are very obvious as distilled water is expensive and one has to go through a lot of hazel to produce it and secondly no one is willing to pay for distilled water, why should they bother and last of all, they are illiterate.
Now I have taught my servant how to prepare the distilled water and when I ask him to do so that he runs the pressure cooker in his servant quarter and after 8 hours he gives me 10 liters of distilled water back to me. Once I have 25 liters of distilled water then I prepare the electrolyte where I only supervise him and results are very good that even after two years my home UPS system which is attached to two 150 AH batteries are able to provide me with a back time of 4 hours with 3 fans and 5 lights running continuously. During summers, gas bills are as low as Rs 200 and even after the entire exercise my bills in summers donât exceed Rs400.
No one bothers to go through the entire trouble; if my parents would see this then definitely they would say why but obviously the comfort of which they have got used to living even in case of excessive load shedding is because of the same very reason. Above all, the entire thing is because of my personal interest in Electronics because of my degree in relevant field. It does make a huge difference but initiative has to be taken by the individual himself. I am not here to sell my electrolyte but basic purpose was to educate people as this problem is very common in very house within Pakistan. Rest detailed description of every task is given in detail in same thread.
