If you can afford it, try to get a pure sine wave model. Some APC models are good. Aurora also has pure sine wave models, I have two Aurora's at home, but I wouldn't recommend them. If it breaks down, they charge too much for repair.

got 30 L Electrolyte drum from Mr Rehmat at 880rs.
purchased 2 millat 110 batteries at 6600rs each without acid and charging service

praying that thus setup will work for atleast Two summers inshahAllah

I need help. I have desi ups. it's mosfet kit is blown. UPS guy replaced it with new kit, I checked it was working fine. came to home and checked it and was working fine. At night when light goes it burnt again. What could be the reason?? @Ishtiaq778

there can be many reasons. Bad quality part, insufficient cooling, high load, some other component issue in the kit

yes inverex is great and battery gives backup for a long time. Easily passes 2 years

Salam All,
I am experiencing 'Over Heating Problem' of my 11 months old AGS Batteries 125 Amp each.

These batteries were purchased in Feb 2014 brand new and poured their own electrolyte. Connected previously with Mercury 2000VA and then it died and now its been connected to Prolink 2000VA Inverter with same specs.

Problem is that the electrolyte is being shrinked and gone down to minimum levels in a 10 days and batteries are extremely warm.
I have disconnected the batteries and let them cool down and attached with 10AM external charger to get them charged.
Bother batteries are in continuous charging and never fully charged and gets warmer and warmer and warmer. Please note that the backup is good like I kept my full lower portion on them and never experienced low battery issue.

PS: I am continuously pouring AGS Battery Tonic (Water) to make the level normal. But it is expensive remedy to invest 100 Rs after every 10 days.

So all i have planed is get the fresh electrolyte from Pyro Chemicals and also get a Can of Distilled Water from them.
My questions are::

-After flushing how much to fill the battery with fresh electrolyte?
-And to how much should i charge the battery i mean 1 hour 2 Hour ?? Or should i charge the battery until it reaches 15V (first charge should be a bit higher than thr normal i guess, correct me if i am wrong)
-And what should be the charging amps ??
-And can i use the UPS to charge the battery (after adjusting the UPS amps ofcourse) or do i need an external charger for this purpose??

First thing is to see if your battery really needs flushing.
What I mean is that you should check the gravity to look for a variation and verify that all the cells are perfectly well, then go ahead with the flush.
1) Flush 5-6 times with tab water and try to make it go through some force.
2) Put it upside down for 30 min for the tab water to make its way out completely.
3) Fill it with the electrolyte till the level indicated on the battery
4) Attach it along with the UPS for charging and keep the charging rate till 6-7 amperes.
5) Cut off should not exceed 14.4 volts.
A lot depends upon the condition of battery, if its completely dead then this exercise will waist your money but if you are taking action before any damage has not yet been done then this will benefit you in long run.
Also, keep your ups tuned.

p.s: keep de-ioniozed water with you as later it will be used for topping up the battery once its level will drop.

Great to see that you are taking advantage of this thread but before a battery is bought, its very important that one should read the charging rate of UPS. This imported ups, I guess charges the battery at 10 Amperes and you bought Millat 110 whose amp-hr rating would be roughly 90-100 AMP-HR, I guess.

I hope, you remember the formula for the maximum allowable charging rate which is AMP-HR rating/10 so system will operate on its neck to neck capacity.

I would have bought a battery with its AMP-HR rating at least set to 150 AMP-HR as one cannot change the charging rate of imported UPS.

Imported ups are very good and will relieve you from trouble of adjusting it but one should take care while selecting the batteries in accordance with the charging rate.

like if its charging rate is 10 amperes then buy a battery with its amp-hr rating set to 140-150 amp- hr or for matter of fact 200amp-hr or 220 amp-hr. anything below or near 100 is not going to be very good.

and if you filled a good electrolyte in start then enjoys years of trouble free service.

I am planning to purchase 2 new batteries for my chainese 1500VA ups.
Which one should i purchase? I am hearing positive reviews about Millat batteries?

Talked to PryoChe about electrolyte they gave me number of Dilvery guy Mr Rehmat khokar - 03004729119 for order (Main post should be updated as current number is off). He told me that Electrolyte (for Only new batteries) is different and De-ionized water (for only currently used batteries ) and quoted ~Rs 950 for 24 bottles (12 litre ) carton.

In ISB its 9rs /L (asin main post) and here in lahore its 80rs / L :).

just keep the charging rate of imported ups in mind before buying what ever brand you wish.

amp-hr rating/10

so if charging rate is 10 amperes then buy least 150 amp-hr battery.

i think you problem is charging rate and amp-hr rating of the battery.

cross check to verify if its not set to 20 amperes.

even if its AGS125 then actual amp-hr rating would be around 70-80 amperes.

you can cross verify this from their website. reduction in electrolyte quickly is a sign that battery is gone, next time dont make this blunder once you buy a new battery.

also quality of electrolyte does makes a difference. 100 rs per liter for de-ionized water is way to expensive.

2 summers ??? you are kidding man !!! should expect more. My Phoenix xp165 lasted 3 summers even with shop prepared electrolyte (tab water ) and desi ups

Post the pics of the mosfet plate and whole ups showing all parts. which mosfets were used for making plate? IRFP150N /M are mostly used.

Since, its a chinese brand 'Prolink' 2000VA Inverter, so there is no settings available for charging selction like 10A/20A. As per manual it says it's 10A 3 Step Charging.

So what are further guidelines ?

Well i was forced to purchase Millat 110 ( 80amp ) batteries due to budget issues as i already waisted my money on a single used Narada dry battery which didn't worked as planned :(.

My ignorance I assumed that I can change charging current level in a Chinese UPS (Invertex board) which i can't. Now my setup goes into backup mode (cutt off) in 15mins after an hour of load shedding while Max load is 100W at the moment so UPS is charging it at 10 amps which is above your formula.

Now i have to continue with this setup or have to purchase any configurable UPS which i don't thing possible in near future.

Anyways I also flushed my abused AGS 100 battery ( in 1st pic ) and added new electrolyte to it. Its working great so far even better then Narada battery :). Its weird that AGS battery's 3 cells have dead level gravity in fully charged state while other 3 cells have somewhat near dead level.
