Well I just want to say that don't buy any electronic items from there. I bought Galaxy Grand 2 from a shop in Madinah that is near the Prophet(S.A.W) mosque and it came out to be a replica. Not just me last year a friend bought a DSLR from there that too was fake. A cousin bought a phone and after few months got to know that it's a refurbished one. (All items were bought from a bengali shopkeeper.)
If you want to buy any electronic item, thoroughly check it and try to buy from a shop which is ran by an Arab, not a bengali.
Plus bengali shopkeepers are mostly rude there.
For those who are going there for first time. Don't travel on a bus, they take a lot of time. If you have money then arrange a taxi.

If you want to buy dates then get it from Bin Dawood. Though they are bit expensive.
For electronics, buy it from an Arab shop and do check it thoroughly in front of them!

And not to talk on phone while driving!
Went for Umrah with family this Feb and believe me, every driver I went through was talking to phone while driving, especially Pakistani drivers!

Me along with my mother planning to perform Umrah in Rabiul Awwal month, estimated cost from Karachi for 10/14 days package? We might need a 2 day stay at Bahrain as well, no confirmed yet but it is in pipeline, any travel agent here who can arrange this?

My friend's dad is in/or near Makkah and confirmed that he can arrange hotel arrangements there for us, would it drop our cost compared to travel agent?

by the way my mother is hepatitis positive, and can't afford long ques/walks, I will opt for independent trip, not with any group.
