My chacha is going for umrah on 24th august he will stay in abraj al bait makkah and in madina hilton. Package costed him 7.50 lakhs he will return on 15 sept. Is this price okay?

There is a first floor for Saee as well which is almost 75% less crowded than the main floor.

Holds true for Umrah but in Hajj days expect worse!

Insha Allah leaving on 22nd for my first Umrah, i am going to Madina first and than to Makkah, any tips would be appreciated, not going in any group just me and my wife, the only thing i have planned is that i will be having one Jumma prayers at Masjid-e-Nabvi and one jumma prayers at Kabaa waiting for my hotel confirmations etc from travel agent, airline tickets are confirmed

There can many tips given to some1 who is going to visit for the 1st time.

Just mention a few here so every1 can benefit

1. Direct flights without stays r usually most convenient.

2. U shud know ur baggage allowance with precision.

3. Turn on roaming on ur local sim & buy Saudi SIM asap. (My experience with Ufone has always been good)

4. If u can manage nearest hotels then thats ideal.

5. Never fall for agents bait of hotel on 500m etc or 4 star package, tell him to clearly which hotels u will be provided by name not distance.

6. Never pay for lunch & dinner etc. There r many restaurants near by and usually half the price & u get more variety.

7. Remember ur main goal is worship not shopping, sightseeing or meeting friends in Saudia, prioritise & strike the right balance.

8. I usually dont recommend booming transport from Pakistan, they charge twice if not thrice or more, taxis r abundant at the Airport & for going to Makkah or Jeddah etc, Madeenah Airport also has Limousine service.

9. Always fly with flexible tickets not non-adjustable u stand loosing ur money is u get sick etc.

Just saw this thread, and I will be happy to say that I am in Al-Madina now a days. Alhamdolillah, got a chance to came here with my family for Umrah. We are total 5 persons including my parents & siblings with a package of 28 days from 17th jan to 13th feb.
Its totally a different experience. Our agent just arranged tickets, transport & visas for us, rest we are self-arranging our hotels & food.
If anybody have any queries, ask me. Insha Allah, I will help.
