@salik: Well, I have always used dry cell (maintenance free) batteries in the vehicles I have owned. They never give you trouble. You dont need to put any water in them. When they get weak, simply replace them. I will check the battery's brand and 'ah' I have in my mark x, and post it here later.
@asad: I dont think so you should have any problem if you use 'SNOW' mode...thats what its there for...it limits the torque of the vehicle and disengages the first gear...so even from a dead stop, your car will start in 2nd gear...that means the car wont skid.
Use the manual transmission mode on the hills along with SNOW, and you should be fine.
