i think at this level the personl preference and the image of the product plays more role in selection rather performance, in my viewits just like merc VS bimmer, as in this case merc is RR and bimmer is Maybach,

My father hav a Maybach 57 not 62 in germany..last year i hav been to germany n drove the car it was lik my biggest dream came true...i really can't explain the feelings becuz even i was not able to feel it properly since i was dreaming:):p...

P.S:My Logo says it All "Maybach" the hallmark of Luxury..

Maybach is owned by MB/DC and the phantom is based on the new 7 (E65) series platform, you seem to have mixed up your comparisons.

The Maybach 57S I drove hauled A**!!! It's kind of an unusual feeling sitting in a gigantic car that takes off like a sports car. The handling wasn't the best but I really didn't expect it to be a 911 anyways. Haven't driven the Phantom yet but from what i've heard it's a complete pig to drive. But there is no doubt that the RR interior is much classier. Btw, both cars have a button that you can press to be connected to a 24 hr Concierge....you can request reservations for any restaurant and it's pretty much guaranteed that you will get it. Also, if you request a specific item from any store they will get it for you. Of course you have to pay dearly for all of this.
