in australia they are swappin out inlines and v8s with rotaries here its the opposite!

2JZ-GTE is da king - aka brute power for drift etc. (too much fast and the furious viewing)

My neighbor/cousin/freind (choose) has an RX8 with a supra engine and it rocks - I want one too or I would be ridiculed in society

I bought an RX8 with no engine but cannot afford to put its original engine in it and dont even know how it works - I just bought a cheap sports car thinking it would be cool

RX8s in Pakistan are used to pick up girls - thats about it, they or the driver dont care if its got a generator underneath the bonnet. As long as it looks like a Mazda RX8 its NICE

btw you are asking for oils - how do you like this snake oil... Apparently there is an oil in the market in cheapie 2 litre bottles that says specially made for RX8 (thats it, no approval code from Toyo Kogyo Ltd or even any automaker) - someone posted a pic on PW too. - And the best bit is that it sells for big money, something like Rs 3000/2litres

As in all consensus - there are some exclusions.. my postings were about swapped RXs

mostly done by people who regularly buy

Indicator fluid
Muffler grease to fix rattly exhausts
Frequency glue for their radio antenna to fix FM stations slipping away
Radiator hose pipes for 1959 Superbeetles
fireproof spark plugs

Umm....the engine oils in pakistan are not designed for burning , when burned they leave alot of carbon. Premix is best as its designed to burn. Rev it to 9k , clear the carbon , let the premix burn.
There should be a seperate resevoir filled with premix which the OMP can inject instead of that nasty engine oil.

For all the noobies , put some STP injector cleaner in your tank , (hmm this might clear the carbon you might think) ....go search for a 1.8 VVTI engine after that

Word around town is that original concept had that - ditched in the name of driver hassle.

speaking of premix I use 2 stroke oil in my diesel here in US, the diesel fuel here is real bad - and does not have proper lubricity which can take out an older diesel injection pump. The premix makes it sound super nice too.

well frankly speaking whenever i read that ppl want to swap rx8 engine i feel really sad dont know why ... may be i drove this car for quite a long ...i must say RX8 is the easiest car i ever drive (sports category) ..

unfortunately most ppl here dont know how to get more out of a rotary ...we dont have enough performance parts/knowledge available for rotary...thats why we see a lot of swaps in pakistan....

as I said - you can lose to little civics on drags but on the highway you can toy with corvettes and Supras

Rx8 is a mid engine car.Swapping rotary with inline or V is messing us with front rear weight ratio of car.
Car runs well on ijz or 2jz but on high speed many other vibrations born.
Another thing in our country we have very little qualified mechanics that understand rx8 electronics.

@xulfiquar....spot on mate...i remember (when i was a teenager) i met a mechanic in early 90's(i was 12 or 13 then) who shown me rotary engine for the first time :D...i was a bit amazed on the working of that engine and was thinking awfully why he kept this stupid engine in his car....but every thing got changed when i drove the rotary first time in 2000.....and the more i used rotary more i loved rotary....but at the end its a thing to be felt....can not explain in simple words...

Oh Almighty be witness, As i hereby resurrect a thread as old as the pyramids because I am unable to digest the disrespect thrown at rotary by comparing it to SeeWick

The first time i drove rotary a few months back, it blew my mind away. Honestly I cannot sit in a normal car now.
Recently I had the option to get a Full option turbo civic or an RX8. Guess what I chose ?

Rx8 is not for dragging. Want to race from Islamabad to Murree ? thats where rx8 will probably make you feel like burning your 3.2 million car.
Renesis' becomes godly near the 5k RPM, You can not expect it to win a drag race.

More over, i cannot imagine swapping anything other than a rotary in rx8, just rebuild the engine. Get rebuild kit imported and find a half decent mechanic. Read about the engine yourself and assist the mechanic yourself in rebuild so he will not Eff up.

The rotary tech has me nose dive into books and texts. I never did that before, like ever

Just a masoomana sawal about swapping, can we but a civic reborn engine or Corolla grande engine inside rx8. To make it a daily driven car with great looks and no complications.

No way its too heavy company gives 1300Cc engine and you are putting double car will never go accurate it not not a perfect drift car too
