To,All that say that rotaries dont last long enough. A Rx-8 is a vehicle that not everyone can take care of.You need to treat it like your own baby.You need periodic oil changes.You should change the air,oil,fuel filters according to the specific time given.As,far as the fuel consumption is concerned it will give you max 7km/l being a rotary and all.The life of a rotary engine is everlasting like all vehicles but not here in Pakistan,due to the different chemicals mixed in petrol,Unbuild roads etc etc.And most important of ALL no proper maintance of vehicles this is what leadings rotaries being failed in Pakistan.

i came accros some1 with a red rx8 who fiited a 1.3 toyota starlet engine in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! asking 8lakhs interior messed up needs work, exterior is alright but need a new engine! i kept a rx8 bfr had 2 keep a log book for it! liked it shape just kept on looking at it in driveway!

I guess rotaries have a totally different design. They don't have cylinder like regular internal combustion engines. They have a conical piston.

if u know how to really take car of ur car,you can easily run a rx8 till 100k+ kms,
a cousin of mine has 1 from past 4 years n car has done 80k kms n stil engine is fault less
