Since I am catching up almost after a day, here's replies to all different comments:
Firstly, thanks all for your appreciation.
@rajafahadk: You will be surprised how fast OEM tires wears off. My 1999 Solara SLE V6 needed new ones just after 25K miles. It had Bridgestone Potenzas from factory. My 2004 Toyota Sienna needed new ones after 27K miles. It had Michelins. I fought with Michelin and they agree to give me 50% discount on a new pair of 4 tires
@Bilaltq & @oral_deaf: AC is optional in the very base trim of Mazda3. This helps keeping the entry level price very low. Mazda might also be doing this as it is imported to Europe and Canada where people don't need AC and most cars there don't have airconditioning but i doubt they buy just base trim there.
@2fast_to_furious: Sorry I have not imported it to Pakistan - it is still in US. I was merely asking if there are Mazda3s in Pakistan as well.
As to Mazda6, it is a very nice car but since it is assembled on Ford plant in US locally, I've heard too many quality control/reliability issues with 6s. Mazda3 is assembled in Japan and got very good reliability track record.
This car is so much fun to drive that i don't really miss my Miata that i traded to get a car with a back seat. Though i was expecting a FWD car not to be too much fun, Mazda3 proved me wrong. I can't say enough good things about this car.
