No , no such plans .. bigger wheels will affect the fuel avg and acceleration ..
To fill that hideous arch gap we have to get atleast 215/55/R17 or 215/50/R18 and thats too much for this car ..
My Gli AT ( silver one ) was on 215/55/R17 , it looked really nice and filled the arch gap but fuel avg and acceleration was bad as compared to the other Gli AT that I had

And by the way these rims look really nice

A beautiful and great car indeed..
So finally this will be the last and final chapter of this thread

I was a bit reluctant in sharing and uploading the pics because of two reasons (1) I hardly get time to check pakwheels now and no (2) Its an old car now and most of the members know each and everything about Grande and there is nothing new in that !

But still since I have nothing to do in this lockdown period I thought share ker hy dete hein and lets bump this old thread

Although The world has moved on from Grande or Civic X and we have so many new options in the market now like Tucson or Sportage or Hyundai Elantra. But we still like and love to compare the arch rivals Grande 1.8 vs Oriel 1.8
So socha thora boht likh hy daaloon as I have used and kept both ..

So here are my thoughts and honest opinion
Corolla Grande 1.8 as the name suggests " Grande " is wthout any doubt a Grand variant of 11th gen Corolla. There is a reason why people and esp corolla fans love this variant of Corolla and hence it has a crazy resale value !
Grande has some really nice features.
Ride feels really soft and comfortable however stability and road grip isnt even close to civic X. There is no match if you compare high speed stability, grip and steering response !
This CVT transmission is love, car has great acceleration and fake shifts are too good. I simply love flooring this car and indeed its a pleasure if you compare it with the rubber band feel of Civic Oriel's CVT. Car feels Solid and powerful. Paint quality is slightly better than competition. Cabin feels nice driving seat with height adjustment does wonders and car feels much better than Altis 1.6 and other lower trims of Corolla as all of them have a really weird driving position and seat height.
But yes cabin of Civic X feels a bit sporty, driving position is much better and overall feel is much better, cabin is spacious and sporty than Corolla Grande. Its just that Grande feels slightly better in quality like leather wrapped steering wheel is really nice, leather of seats is better and soft padded dashboard with leather stitching adds a sober and decent look to the cabin. Infotainment system of grande is better as well but speakers are cheap !
Overall its hard to compare both. Both are equally good. It depends on what you really want in some aspects Grande 1.8 is better and in some aspects Civic X 1.8 is better.
Looks and shape is a matter of personal preference.
One interesting thing what I have experienced is Civic X has slightly better road / ground clearance than Corolla Grande. If you cross a speed breaker with 5 adults civic X doesnt touch the breaker but Corolla scratches the breakers sometimes with 5 ppl.

Anyway to cut it short Both Oriel and and Grande are equally good and it totally depends on your requirements and what you really want. Test drive both cars before making any final decision that is best thing you can do instead of relying on online discussions and reveiws videos etc

Last but not the least NOTHING BEATS CIVIC 1.5 TURBO in its price range

Yes if they launch the latest one but unfortunately they havent launched the latest gen
Prev one which Nishat has launched here is a nice car too but I will never replace my Civic Turbo with that. Infact I might not consider that over Corolla Altis Grande.

Why is the 12th Gen not launching in Pakistan, any idea? I have been driving it for an year now (The Hybrid version) and its beautiful, drives a lot better than all the previous generations.
