Grande > Altis 1.6 > GLi / XLi 1.3
So any one who says or thinks 1.3 is better than 1.6 or 1.8 in performance , driving pleasure is not in his senses !
And with due respect those who are saying 1.3 is bad is not as good as 1.6 or 1.8 , are not in their senses either 
Obviously 1.3 is IMC's low end variant its not some rocket science
All variants of New Corolla are good this time
Even Xli is nice in my opinion
Everyone was saying before launch xli will start from 18 lacs atleast but 1627 is a reasonable price tag for such a graceful new sedan ..
I have said it many times
1300 cc Gli Manual and auto both are really good
If you have driven only 1600 and 1800 cc cars all your life then you will feel sluggish acceleration but as compared to other 1300 cc cars esp City 1.3 it feels better
in 1.3 category it is the best car available without any doubt
but Grande is not the best one in 1.8 ltr category
Similarly as compared to Altis 1.6 auto Civic base model is a much better purchase ..
And dont forget the resale factor ..
ALHAMDULILLAH my prediction was right ..
gli manual and auto both are still selling in countless numbers
Grande's resale and demand isnt that high now and it will have same fate as all previous Altises
In used cars section i saw few Grande manual transmission with a demand 21 lacs only almost new cars registered and WHT paid vehicles max even if they get sold for 20.5 just look at the loss in just 3 to 4 months
dont expect this to get any better after 2 to 3 years
my experience with top of the line corolla in 2009 and 2011 gave me a lesson for a lifetime that says never buy 1800 cc or any top of the line Brandnew Corolla in Pakistan
once a loss of 6 lacs and once 5.5 lacs
both the cars fetched hardly the same price as Gli Manual ..
anyways its a long debate and we have seperate thread for it ..
