I got 10k for 2 month late delivery in 2010

Back in 2005 Indus sent me a cheque of some 2200 rs saying they were sorry for the late delivery. Though the amount was so little, they did it on their own without me complaining.

When ill get it next month , its going to be 6 months since I booked the vehicle

My dear brothers, I have a few questions on booking / delivery issue:

1. Can I book a GLI AT or Altis 1.6 with Rs. 500,000 as I read some where that it was possible? Will I be given a PBO on partial payment with explicit date of delivery mentioned on it?

2. If answer to question 1 is yes, then when will I have to pay the remaining amount?

3. Is it true that in order get the delivery of the car on timely basis, one should have strong contacts with the dealership? I mean is there any transparency in giving deliveries on the basis of first come first served basis?

Yes u can book any variant of Corolla at partial payment i.e 5 Lac... You will get PBO mentioning tentative delivery month... Remaining amount will have to be paid before one week of delivery month.. For example if delivery month is June.. then last date for balance amount will be 23-24 May.. Deliveries are made on random basis so you can get your car any day within the month mentioned.. No need to use contacts i guess.. if u hv contacts then try to get PBO of earlier month

Now, as the respected members said here, he has to pay the remaining balance 2-3 weeks before delivery. In that case, can that person approach the bank in say, April to finance the car for him, for which he had already made partial payment of Rs. 500K in March, on his name? Kindly clarify. I would be deeply indebted to those members giving well informed replies, Thanks in advance.

the answer is NO...
Bank financed/leased cars are booked at full payment directly by the bank/leasing co. through 3-S Dealers..
If u have already booked your car and later u plan to get it bank financed then the only way is to pay full payment once from your pocket, get delivery and registration and then refinance it from any bank as second hand car..

As far as i remember these were for 2500
These are lava bar type lights not the normal reflector leds
But this was almsot 2 , 3 months back
I am sure you will find similar ones for much lesser now may be 1500 to 2000

Congrats. However, Corolla 1.3 and 1.6 automatic comes with only 4 forward gears. The world has moved on. When will Toyota?

I dont remember exactly the price now
It was for 20 and 3.5 for cam as far as i remember
Quality is really nice
I am sure you can find same thing for lesser price now
I bought it when the car was launched so everything was expensive at that time

Toyota has already moved on the CVTi . These old four-speed ATs are tried and tested and robust automatic transmissions of Toyota and will stay in medium and base models till the stock lasts
