What did zafcom quote for Conti 17" made in malaysia? and is this better than Yoko dB made in Japan or not?

Today i went to zafcom gizri to change tyres of my city. So i inquired about rimz and tyres for civic and i was shocked to hear that he would buy the rimz and tyres for 60k only. He said that he can give me civic oem rimz for 45k.
I also asked about the continental tyres he said that they are 100% made in malaysia and it has written engineered in germany over it.
He said Made in germany continentals price is atleast 28000.

He quoted me 15000/tyre.
But i think he may not have them in stock. Because he was more inclined towards selling me coopers again as he said aapne pehle b corolla mai cooper lagvae the aapko koi masla to nahi hua naa ? and he also said that they are much better then continentals as they are made in usa.

Regarding yoko advan db he said that the tyres are good but the side walls are quiet weak and could blast if the car goes in a big bump at high speed and that i have checked myself the side walls and thread pattern of coopers are much better then yokos.

I dont know if they give sincere adv and suggestions or not
Because he also had cooper but he said Continental is better purchase
Whatever gives them better profit is a better tyre for sure according to them
And yes you are right i was just searching it on google the tyre says engineered in germany but malaysia or any other region isnt mentioned on the tyre and hence the confusion
Anyways about the tyre I must share my personal experience , there is a lot of wheel spin with michelins , original BG luxos , and Good year , one of my friend tested these three on his new 1.5T .. whereas even with traction off , there isnt any wheel spin at all initially which improves the acceleration furthermore I have never experienced such a nice comfortable and soft, low profile tyre ever 215/50/17
I had this size many times in different cars have tried them all michelins , yokos , and dunlops this one is a clear winner
If he is giving fresh 2016 for 15k that is very very reasonable i must say , i got it for 17500 to 18500 dont remember the exact figure

Upgrading tyres size to 225/55/16 or 215/60/16 will not void warranty provided that the stock rim is use. Today service manager at honda shahrah e faisal told.

He also said almost every car with 3000 kms plus are reporting knocking problems alot and surprisingly 1.8 oriels are reporting more.

Just a question to all Turbo owners. I have received my Turbo recently as well and am in absolute love with it (the power is insane and I haven't even gone close to flooring it on account of it being less than 100 kms driven). However, I was expecting much better build quality. I mean if you look close enough you can still see some shoddy craftsmanship (better than the first ones though), especially on the welds. Another issue is the paint. My car has a few minor marks and overall the paint is rough. I guess it is in need for some detailing. I have the Altis Grande as well, and having read reviews (in all honesty) thought that the two will not be comparable (not in terms of absolute bhp and nms) but actual build quality. I personally feel that Toyota has done a better job of putting that car together, than has Honda with its flagship here in Pakistan.

Both are local assembled cars sir
And poor workmanship is the main cause !
I have kept 3 , 11th gen Corollas so far and to be honest except for 2 or 3 things where corolla has an edge , its like wasting time comparing the two cars
Even quality fit and finish is much better on Civic
Yes Corolla has better paint finish
Corolla has a better rear arm rest
Corolla has much better rubber and plastic between front fenders and windscreen on both sides ( civic is pathetic here )
Other than that there is no match and comparison at all
Other possibility is may be all 3 of my Corollas were faulty ones and my Civic is one of the best unit they have assembled so far and your Corolla is the best one IMC has assembled so far

Sir incase of any claim they will have issues even if you change the size slightly even if you go for 225 in same size
Dont expect anything from them
I have already shared my 1st service experince few pages back

So Turbos are also coming with this knocking issue ?
I think most of them have been running the cars on regular fuel so far
I have done 900 kms so far on High Octane only and its going perfect ALHAMDULILLAH
Another Pw member has done 2000 kms on high octane only and its perfect too so far ( 1.5T )

I dont remember the exact figures now
But I must have mentioned exact rates of everything when I changed the tyres
So you will have to go and search few pages back for exact figures

These 17 inch alloys were for 65k as far as I remember
And yes you are right tyres were for 66k I think which makes it 16.5k and total 131000/- ( again not exactly sure if it was 131 or 135 )

As far as I remember he deducted 65k ( for my oem alloys and tyres ) from the grand total

Hope ur civic turbo doing great, if u really want to tune ur car then i will suggest u to go to unichip at the toyota central or u can contact them thru their unichip.pk FB page. The best part for unichip is they got the latest version to change the map thru ur fone via bluetooth, u can change the maps according to ur desire and ofcourse according to the fuel as well. We all know super 87 will be upgrading to 92 RON and HOBC with upgrade to 97 from 95 RON so in future it wont be problem for 1.5T civic. Anyhow ur civic looking great with the spoilers and other add on, btw wen r we racing wit my A3 and also call ur racechip civic friend

About unichip , well to be honest i usually avoid such high speeds and speeds of over 140
This was just a friendly run after jumma prayers when there was no one the road in phase 8
I drive this car daily so I dont want to take any risks , the engine is new thing in our market , dont really want to risk anything and void the warranty
Thats the only reason I havent installed even racechip so far ( the overall advantage isnt that much though with racechip it helps in acceleration after 140 km/h as I said )
But yes after 140 i was helpless , the other turbo took a lead and gave me a gap of around 2 cars till the end

So I will wait for members like you to try Unichip first on their cars
And will decide later lol

As for the drag / race
A3 1.8 Turbo is really fast , lighter and smaller than 1.5T and will smoke it without any trouble I guess
However 1.5T with Racechip will give it a tough time and might even smoke it

I have asked my friend for a friendly run with your A3 but he is not willing for that
I dont know why
I have seen 1.8 Tfsi A3 accelerating from 0 to 200 and 1.5 Turbo from 0 to 200
In 0 to 100 both are samw if properly launched
After that A3 will take a lead
However with racechip 1.5T will give A3 a really really tough time

By the way recently raced A3 2.0 TFSI , and literally smoked him , infact gave him a gap huge gap !! More than 10 cars gap
And I was shocked since he also launched properly and infact he asked for that run
I shared this with my friends and they told me 2.0 TFSI is actually 1.2 Turbo
I dont understand how do they badge their cars ! 2.0 for 1.2 doesnt make any sense

Who u were dealing in Zafcom Ali or Omer? I always buy yoko advan db from them and from last 5 yrs i have fitted yoko advan db in 4 if my cars

He told me he had race with civic turbo and easily beated the civic turbo by big gaps so i told him to race my A3, he lost to me by 4-5 cars as he had no idea my car is tuned :D. A3 1.2tfsi (110hp) is even slower than civic 1.8 so obviously u can beat tht A3 by more than 10 cars :)....

Yes m waiting for my civic turbo as honda quaideen has messed up my ordered and maybe i will go for unichip in civic turbo as i have already spent a lot on my A3. Unichip in civic turbo still is less power than my tuned A3 as i saw the dyno graph but it can give tough time to stock A3 1.8tfsi.
