Sir Usman bhai has already replied you in detail regarding the exact software update .. This turbo has got only 141 horses under the hood but car is really smooth and i am enjoying this peace of mind .. no high octane needed

Yes initially i missed the acceleration and that turbo boost .. obv i used it with racechip ultimate during the last 2 3 months when i sold it so it was even faster than stock turbos ..
But even this new 1.8 with CVT is fast .. much faster than predecessors .. had 3 drags with a really nice and clean 2012 model Reborn with 55k kms on odo .. and gave that car a big gap of more than 3 4 cars in all 3 runs so this is good enough for our roads and driving conditions .
But yes for enthusiasts turbo is the real deal unfortunately and sadly its a flop here on our bad fuel

No bro , even though I really love 1.5T but still dont have any plans of getting it now .. dont need a car with trouble .. hopefully will upgrade to new 12th gen Corolla or maybe ALLAH PAK ne barkat di to IN SHA ALLAH audi or some SUV this time

These are the same mods i think removed from Turbo and intalled on Oriel. Isn't it ?

Some of the stuff like carbon fibre door handles front bumper CF trim and roof spoiler is same..
Got 18s for this car prev one had 17s
Prev one had modulo bodykit this one has ativus front lip and side skirts , modulos rear lips and a different diffuser
Also installed RS spoiler prev had just trunk lip spoiler
Also added few more things list is long

As i said before ALHAMDULILLAH i feel very lucky .. enjoyed that 1.5T to the max had countless drag races with cars like FJ cruiser with unichip

5 series 7 series
List is long and smoked them all
And finally sold it at the right time and very good price ..
No one can even think about selling used 2016 model turbo for 3260 now
Ppl hardly get any good offers for 1.5T now
One of my friend was telling me the other day some one he knows purchased 2 turbos 1 for 26 1 for 27 so just imagine ..

But all of the owners in my social circle are saying it still knocks even after the upgrade ..
According to 3 of my friends who are also pakwheel members , car still knocks even after this software upgrade ..
I told them this is the right time to get rid off turbo if they want to save their hard earned money and dont want to waste 5 6 lacs later . At present many ppl are thinking Turbo is back in the game ( unfortunately and sadly which is not the case and ppl are facing knocking again on next refill after this upgrade and within just 100 200 kms of drive ) so this is the right time to dispose it off

A brandnew turbo is parked at a showroom on main khalid bin waleed road in mod steel and its there since July !! Just imagine bro ..

Ya you r right in a sense. But i feel its ok. I just reved it an hour ago after driving 220km of update. Flying like any thing. As being an engineer and working on Ge Waukesha gas engines i am confident that i can keep it till 50k km plus by especially taking care of it.
The guys still experiencing knock will be ok after replacement of Spark plugs and T body service.

Believe me oriel will also get into trouble with this MMT mixing in fuel soon.
Rather Turbo knocking is blessing in disguise for awakening and inshallah time will prove.
This pethetic fuel even failed my city's s plugs at 28k kms.

I would advise every body to stick with HOBC whether you have a Grande, city, oriel or Turbo.

Those who will shift to RON 92 will be in great trouble in near future.

As per official declared drag times both must be identically near. It looks like 8th Gen 0 to 100 is increased over the time period.

The PT Hard Top drag time in 2009 i tested was around 10.5 secs at that time all stock with High octane last quarter filled. Tyres pressure stock tyres cold 35 psi. Only single person.

1.8 X is 10.4 secs as per official figures in far east like Pultan singapore and Malaysia tests.

The way you left him behind looks like.

1. The car is not at its peak power most probably due to partially clogged Cat Con. The car milage should have been high assuming air fiter, S plugs and Throttle body clean and fuel from the same pump.

2. Yours having high rolling resistance initially plus Cvt had a lag and then zoom. Also having advantage of 8 to 10 bhp extracting more due to electric power steering as compared to 8th Gen Hydraulic.

But anyways Race is Race and Winner is Winner.

As an advise. Torque breaking for cvts is fatal for the transmission. Eventually fails transmission prematurely

Actually the result was almost same when 2 of my friends tried 9th gen vs 1.8 X .. the main diff is due to CVT transmission .. according to my exp ( i had kept 3 reborns before currently have 1 as well ) 0 to 100 of reborn is 11 seconds and X 9.6 to 10 seconds and even after that X gains speed quickly as compared to 8th and 9th gen ..
By the way this is one of the cleanest and best reborns of karachi mechanically its perfect no issues at all and regularly maintained ..ye reborn humaray pyaray pakwheel member 309 ki hai

Knocking indeed is gone. I only upgraded the software i.e. spark plugs are the same. Will get those inspected and get the throttle body cleaned, when I have more time.
