O detailing gurus of PW.. Please help me out. I am confused between buying the thand deal or the new car kit. Is the new car kit for a new car only or can it be used for old cars like my honda city 2010? If so, then what's the thand deal for? What's the basic difference in both packages?

im no guru but i can tell you the difference. new car kit has everything needed to get you started on detailing. thand deal is a good value but it has the basic wash and wax shampoo, which really the start of detailing. in fact it's just regular car wash which won't scratch your paint and leaves a protective layer. if you want gloss and shine, you need a good wax like ultimate wax. new car kit has small amounts of everything. and the washing accessories make it a good value (water mitt, water magnet, supreme shine, applicator pads).

My experience with the new car kit has been extremely good. When i dipped the wash mitt in the suds (w&w), i was surprised at how heavy it got! and it gives such a smooth cleaning experience, honestly for the first time washing bike was an enjoyable experience, thanks to the mitt. the smell of w&w is really good too.. one thing to note is that because my bike was covered in mud, w&w couldnt effectively clean it. that is after drying dirt was still sticking, so maybe i need a stronger shampoo for this purpose.

drying with water magnet was simple and it does not leave any sort of 'dhagay' or residue behind. After drying it was time to wax using ultimate liquid and man.... the difference is just too much. w&w might be good but you really have to use this wax to see that glossy shine.. unfortunately rain clouds had gathered and it was starting to drizzle, so could not take too many pics. Below pic is of tried mudguard, camera doesnt do justice to the 'blackness' and gloss achieved by the wax.

All shampoos are like that, they are mild and balanced PH to be safe on paint, u need a soft tooth brush for sticky dust... u might need an additional engine degreaser for those mudy rainy days

Congratulations on the new car kit. You might wanna go over your washing method because the shampoo is designed to lubricate dirt off the paint without any friction or contact. If there is dirt on my drying towel, I know I havent washed properly. Try using the double bucket method.

Ammar bhai very useful feedback and its true Wash and Wax shampoo is very
mild shampoo and totally wax safe means dont hurt ur wax or sealant coats even wax in
shampoo further boost the paint so in routine its best shampoo but if u need stronger
cleaning than meguiars Hyper Wash is perfect choice , though its also wax safe shampoo
but still its clean stronger than wash and wax

Omair bhai jazakallah for ur visit @ammarzahid bhai beautifully describe you differnce between Thand deal and new car kit, Thand deal is basic routine car wash and dont include wax jar in it and new car kit having all basic products to wash and wax ur car

May i know ur car skin color and its overall condition than may be guide u better products combination

Dear Omair bhai Jazakallah for sharing ur car pics, well by pics its bit hard to understand skin condition but i guess body panel seems in good condition expect few scratches on bumper etc

If u need show car results than

Smooth surface clay kit
Ultimate compound
Ultimate polish

21 sealant

Ultimate paste wax
Endurance tyer spray

for rims u can use Meguiars Degreaser and than ultimate polish and ultimate wax

for black trims Meguiars Apc plus and than dressing by hyper dressing etc

all glass u can clay and than ultimate polish.

If u dont have experience of abrassives like compounds than skip compound for time being.
