Mehran euro 2 air filter price is too much

While changing oil at 3s dealer ship I came to know that suzuki filter is of 1700 rs and litteraly,i was shocked......as guard charges rs 300 for the same

yar the prob is like this , these all things r made in japan , thts y these r so xpensive!!!! just like my civic ,s oil filter is for 800 (made in thailand) where as before this one they were importing from japan costing 1450 ....
but still 1700 way too much

I don't think Mehran's filter would be from Japan as this model is long gone from Japanese territory.

its probably locally made - find its manufacturer and replace as you deem fit.

got my car's exhaust mounts changed from these so called dealers and the supervisor told me that it had "Do number" mounts installed that why it got cracked and this is what they installed:

3S dealers selling made in Japan stuff, right! more like made as Japan.

Exactly same thing... Mehran air filter costs 1700 rs... Well smbody told me that the porosity of original filter is very well maintained and those of local ones is not good... Due to this , small particles of dust get through local filters... experts please guide in this regard..

although its an old topic, but yes i got my car filter change costed me rs 1600 from danish motors. and yes this filter quality is far far better than all of the local ones avaiable. the original filter i used till 8000 km and it diditn deteriorated nor get crippled. so go for it.

If you google about Air filters, there are several types and qualities of them. Suzuki's 3s dealers price for Mehran's air filter is about Rs. 1700. I bought one from local market for Rs. 250, and another one for Rs. 300 (Guard); and both of them had very low quality, they were like see through papers. Suzuki's air filter is really good in quality but the price is really too much.
