Nothing gonna happen to it,keep everything up to the mark .. just take good care of her.

get ur car a japanese alto's brake booster,,,,,,,,,,,,,and then inshallah it will b all f9,,,,,good luck,,,,
Good... sorry I'm getting little bit out of topic.. but for brake booster can you I get some new one? Means what if I don't want to use a used one/kabuli etc...?
i dont think it will be problem but you need to do a proper maintenance check before u leave either way Best of luck
Another off topic question Can one install ABS brakes off a Japanese alto or Something ?
keep speed 80 to 90 km / hour
well not that i have a 02 mehran and with wires and plugs upgareded it went upto 135 on CNG but road was M1 motorway seriously if road is not good and after ur return u will face problems like1 sterring box bushes new kabli steering box is for 17002 front end bushes genuine are for 4003 wheel alingment and balancing 500-700so keep in mind khaday mein nahi marna zor se its nazk gari
nops suspension aren't cooperative as jdm alto
BHai I guess you went toooo much of the topic
Mehran is good for long routes... U can go!!
prevention is better than cure Actually there was a Alto works a turbo 2door mehran i thought it has ABS and you could change the braking systems
dude as per my observation before leaving give a goood check to your car...... n 500km is nothing for such cars but for safe side keeep an extra tube (even id you got tubless tyres), brake oil, engine oil, air filter, oilfilter, radiator cap, an extra wheel pana, 2 plugs, a piece of wire, and some other small things which can mess up......
buss garii ko pyaaar n muhabbat se chalaiyega aap.
carry such things for 1 or 2 times and after that you'll get to know each other and volla youll come to know how ur car lands u to your destination
hope you get what i m trying to say
Kind Regards:Shaikh Atif
YEs. thats the point.
congrat dear, sure u can travel, i had this car from 2001 to 2005 and i drove many times between lahore - islambad, sure its small car so on long routs some time become tired, if ur car is with cng than no problem as almost every 100 km u have to stop for re-filling and at that time u can come out of car for streaching legs my advice is change its stock tires with some good soft ones like yokohama etc
@All: Thanks for your valuable suggestions and feedbacks. I'm already feeling confident now. Soon I may post my car's pictures as well.
just to add for some one's benefit. i bought 2nd hand mehran 2006 in very good condition (petrol driven only). i serviced, tuned it. changed engine oil, break oil, gear oil, battery blah blah...imaginable. new tyres. then took it from pindi to peshawar. Result 1. Wheel aligned tree-trunked.......next day...from peshawar to pindi Result.
1. All of a sudden. complete engine oil finished. 2. Engine started scary knocking sound 3. Had to toe it from attock to pindi 4. Still parked at my porch and m using bike. (mechanic says 25k plus has to be spent and i aint got no penny)
Note: i drove 100 - 120 kms / hour
Translation 1. Mehran not for long routes 2. If at all there is no work arround then... a. Change engine oil b4 long route b. keep checking engine oil on the way c. In no way cross 90 km / hour d. Give rest to vehicle like 3 to 4 times e. Dont keep car in 4th gear and on 90 km/h speed for more than 20 mins. lower speed every 20 mins f. Keep checking battery and radiator
Sorry...but i m scared hell of this vehicle. it could be very good poor-mans-companion with in city....but outta a city. i would seriously think about other options.....
Good Luck.
