thats generation gap, kids are getting smarter. they have iphones and watch videos we only dreamt of. what we had??? brick game and fm radios with manual tuning.

Exactly, Kids r much more smart nowadays, Ask a 2 class Kid about a couples bed life, and he will be able to define u more better than u know , so then why can't the age limit be reduced. It should be 16

One can't get bail (in case of road accident) without license as far as I know.

my father, uncles and family member always use to tell me that if get I into an accident and I failed to show my license (even if I am 18 or elder) then still according to the law I will arrest in the case of attempt to murder (they use to tell me this when I was 17 and just use to reverse the car into garage )

This is called admitting the mistake. If one does wrong and then realizes that it can be fatal then he/she can surely try to not let his/her brother/sister/kid repeating the same mistake.

Absolutely right but unfortunately this young blood won't understand it.We did it and it wasn't right,but you've to remember one thing we has low powered cars and bikes and there wasn't this culture of speeding and drifting around.Sure guys did race n stuff but not many.
And @muradi bahi dekh,me or anyone on this forum can't stop you from doing stunts and racing and I won't even try but remember age doesn't only give you driving experience but also gives you wider angle of life where you can see consequences of bad driving.Btw I'm not that old,I'm only 36 .

Bro when did i dis agree, I agree that Underage driving is dangerous, but I am talking about practical life, Yeh Baatein sirf forums tak hi rehti hain, kabhi koi implement nhi karta, I know half members here who r underage and drive. Many members whose children r driving.
Look around on the roads, half people on the road don't have license, and the rest who have have no idea about basic driving rules, IMO, license is absolutely Useless here, How can that small card decide if u r capable enough to drive, Is there any proper driving test in Pakistan, Can reversing from the parking lot decide if the person knows how to drive, and u can easily evade the test by giving a note on the officers hand. Thats it, So, after acheiving the age of 18 and getting a license will that boys need for speed stop, will he stop overspeeding and killing after getting that piece of plastic??? Then how can u blame underage driving?
As for me bhai, i do not overspeed and pull out stunts. if i do such even if i have a license, My Parents will kill me and take the keys, They know i drive safely and responsibly, and trust me and i never let go of their trust, Pulling up a small burnout in an empty road where no traffic is coming does not make anyone an unsafe driver, I own a 660 anyway, it cant perform a burnout anyway
My point is that if a 16 + drives slowly with his parents by his side and obey's laws it is not that bad, in this way he will learn to be a better driver, besides majority countries have license minimum age 16

And if u call underage driving a risk, Please have a look at the Rickshaw and Motor Cycle drivers in Pak, And underage is much less riskier than them

If you want to implement the law of majority countries then you must know that the teenage license is called mostly a "Student permit". you need to pass a test, clear a road test, you must attend a class. Also its a restricted license. You can drive from home to school and back. If you are caught somewhere else your license permit can be revoked. Also You cant drive on off school days in certain states here in US. Even if you are 21 and on learners permit, you cant drive alone. Just saying that in other countries age 16 can drive does not gives you permission to drive. You should have a legal document and proper procedures. You should also know that there is a point system on license as well, you hit a certain threshold and you are done. Don't just pick what you like. Pick up the whole system

License issuing system is NOT right. But it doesn't give you right to drive underage. I don't want to drag a diffrent topic here. Let's first reach to the age limit. We are talking about kids driving below legal age limits.

Well please read each and every line in the opening post. If parents starts enforcing rules 90% of the problem will be solved. who give them bike or buy them bikes? We should not just blame everything on police. There is something called training which comes from home. If you see kids in cars or bikes this does not mean they are right, It is also not right for police not taking action. See; education and enforcement will reduce the rate of violation. Nothing is perfect. We need to start from somewhere and back to back discussion only will not resolve things. Enforcement is the KEY.

Agree with lot of your points but put it this way,everyone agrees license doesn't automatically makes you a good driver but neither does driving underage with or without your parents. Underage drivers are satirically prone to more accidents than someone say 20+.so if by following one simple rule of driving with license ,we can save more lives then I reckon it's win win deal.

yup they need a lesson. i love closing the lil gap i leave intentionally between my car and divider if a motorcycle wala tries to go through it. nope u ain't taking my side mirror at the red light. and the most annoying thing about rickshaws and qinqi's, their engines sound like they are gonna break the record of Bugatti veyron(would try to out acclerate u if they are parallel to u off a start and stop acclerating at 30kph), won't give the way no matter how much u honk. the solution to them is once u overtake em, is to drop speed, don't give em the way(a lil taste of their own poison if u got some spare time)

Yes driving with license can not make u a good driver but driving underage with strict supervision with Parents in small lanes is not unsafe. It prepares them to learn and be a good driver in future. We should control the biggest problem which is Reckless Driving done by adults and Mostly Bikes and Rickshaw drivers
