Merc C180 and fuel issues

Can anyone fill me up on issues regarding fuel gauge on merc C180 ? Or any other issues associated with this particular car. Model 2016. AMG version.

I dont think any C180 ever had an AMG chassis/serial/VIN no. or any AMG ever had a 3 digit model no. - You sure its a real AMG car?

Ok not too familiar with those specs. All I know is it’s C180 model 2016. They call it an AMG type.
My real concern is fuel gauge issues and any other issues associated to this car.

It's not an amg. Its just an option for some better wheels and floor mats.

firstly -

THEY are morons who are claiming it as AMG, its like saying Toyota Indus made a TRD spec XLi corolla.

now for the gauge, get the car to a proper mercedes shop, the gauge cluster is not a simple unit like on a mehran, all the info on it is sent via can bus to the cluster, so if you are missing an input you will literally see an error when its put up on a proper scan tool.

The sender usually doesnt go bad - sounds like someone was fiddling with the fuel pump and somehow damaged the wiring to the module.

It basically is just an AMG kit/package which includes superficial upgrades like AMG written on mats, amg styled steering , stiffened ride, bigger alloys etc. What exactly is your problem with the fuel gauge? Please be more specific about it.

I take it that you basically want to know whether to purchase the car or not. This has a small turbo charged high compression engine, you have to be very careful with the fuel you use in it, a little bad fuel, and the car will give you serious hell. So if you can get verified 97 octane fuel and can afford to get it maintained from a proper workshop, the car won't cause issues, if you can't do any of the above, this car will make your life hell
