Mohtaram Capsat Sahib,
Still a mule has more power than an Arabian horse, just kidding hee hee.
Thoroughbred and Arabian are two different horse breeds although Thoroughbred has been bred out of the Arabian breed. I'm a great horse-lover. Although Thoroughbreds are for racing because of being more powerful but if you are a riding enthusiast, then nothing comes close to the riding quality of an Arabian. Arabian horses are the best for riding and have a trademark floating riding style. An Englishman took the Arabian horse (the foundation stallion of the Thoroughbred) to England and bred them with the European mares and what came out was the Thoroughbred. The Thoroughbred has Arabian blood in it. European horses had more power but less speed and the problem was solved when Arabian males were mated with European females and what we got was the Thoroughbred. It has both the power and speed for racing. Arabian studbook, also called the breed registry, is the strictest in the world. Both the sire (male) and the dam (female) have to be registered in the Arabian studbook for the foal (the young newborn horse) to be eligible for registration in the studbook (breed registry). In Pakistan only the Army stables at Mona have the authorisation from the World Arabian Horse Organisation (WAHO) for keeping the official Arabian stud book: Mona Remount Depot - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia That's how strict the Arabian studbook is. Amazing! My granddad used to breed Thoroughbreds and spent millions in this hobby of his (shauq ka koi moal nahin). I think I inherited my love for the horse from him.
It is nice of you to compare a Mercedes with the Arabian breed as the quality standards are very high.
Sorry if you have found this digression of mine boring.
Regards.
